I Love having TWO! I looked at my counter and saw these two cups sitting side by side and I smiled.

Dying Easter Eggs
Great fun...dying Easter eggs! I remember when I was little loving the part when the dye was poured out in the sink after dying the eggs or trying to get just the right shade of color. It feels important to celebrate and carry on traditions. My hope is that with each event I continue to be engaged in the moment and fully take it in. I think as a momma I can often be distracted in my attempt to make it "just right". I think I am aware of how quickly this time is going to go with our two small ones and I want to live in that reality with the choices I make.
Thanks to papa and Kimmy who also joined in the festivities!

Big Boy Bed
So we made the big plunge and Anderson got a big boy bed. One thing have I learned regarding sleep and beds for our children, "never judge until you are there." I never thought I would have children sleeping in our bed....never say never! Anderson has enjoyed the comfort as have I of our bed for the last year, but we needed dada to feel comfortable in bed, so now we have two twin mattresses and one king mattress in our bedroom...never say never....I say they are only this little once!
Anderson does love his new bed, he knows it is his! In the middle of the night during the first week if he woke up he would day, "bed" "bed", I am so glad he likes it and it is great to be next to my husband!
Big Boy Haircut
So we had to do it. We had to get the hair out of Bo Bo's (Anderson's) eyes. As Deveraux said, "mom, he can't see Barney!" My sweet friend Yita came over the day before his birthday and as the locks came off, I was sad. But it will grow! I had remembered we used a lolly pop for Benton (my sisters son ) to help us through his hair cut. Anderson now says, "Yita" and "sucker", a good memory! Also, I couldn't stop looking at his sweetness the next day in church!

Deveraux READS!
Deveraux is learning how to read! We are so proud of her. She read her first sentence, "The ant is on the apple." No great deeper meaning in that sentence just easy words to sound out!! Wow, she is on her way to a world of adventure, possibility, and imagination! We celebrated with a trip to Outback (family favorite) and Barnes and Noble for her first book that she can sound out and read! Yeah Deveraux!!!
Bobo's first fat lip
Our Anderson calls himself Bobo, It is a nickname I gave him and the first name he called himself. So Bobo fell face forward off the kitchen counter after we were having a good start to our Saturday morning getting ready to have pancakes. It was a painful fall and his first fat lip to show for it! Sorry Bobo...it is hard for a momma to see your own fall. But he had a good nap and was running around in his usual Bobo way!!
