Renwed friends

Simeon and his wife, DJ extended a work trip he won to include us for a few days.
My sisters and I used to babysit Simeon....and his mom Marvene, one of my dearest
soul friends, lost a battle to cancer (only in body), but not in heart!

Go Bobo!
Coastal walk!

Simeon is a thoughtful kind man.  It was fun getting to know
him all over again and to meet his lovely wife.

Drew took him out to surf!  It was his first time....
He stood up!

Drew and Bobo went to catch a wave...

Surf's up Bobo!

Oh how I miss Marvene.  Simeon said she was evident
throughout our house, that is good.  I felt I was loving her
by caring for her son.  I am so glad we re-connected.
I am thankful how Maui just intersects us with people in close
ways that otherwise might be missed.

Our cat

If we played a game, "guess this picture"
one would never guess....
It all started with deciding to try out a cat from a woman
who rescues and gives them away.  The first day we had
the cat,.he hid all day, we thought we had lost him.  Then we
found him and he found himself behind the water heater.
Andrew was worried when he went to bed the night before, because he
could not figure out if the cat was stuck or choosing to hide.  He woke
up early and realized he was stuck.  So we called a plumber
and they had to remove the water heater.  The cat had been
with us less than 24 hours.  I had asked Andrew if it felt
a bit like Christmas the morning he was to go pick up the
cat.  He said, yes.  I was needing some affirmation for my
reluctantly.  So far the cat was not helping his case.

He is good and cuddly.

.
The kids have loved putting the cat in a box.  I call Bobo,
the "trapper" because he is good at chasing and scooping up the cat.
Tonight, Bobo stated, "kitties take a really long time to know you."
As the kitty ran off.
This kitty is pretty gracious with Bobo.
His name is still under consideration, but I believe he is here to stay!

Forever??

"Mom, where do you think you will be when you retire?"
Deveraux asks me....
"I want to be where you will be."

"Bobo are you going to get married?"  I ask one day.
"No".
"Why not, Bobo?"
"I already have someone."  he said, "You."
oh Bobo.

Darn, I do wish I could keep them forever!

Let them see...

"Let them see You in me.
Let them hear you when I speak.
Who am I without Your grace."
(this song is playing on our radio and hearts)

Deveraux went nuts over this craft project she learned in Sunday School.
We are making them for our Easter guests. And Bobo picked out a new
Lego set with money from the tooth fairy!
