Baby's first airplane trip...headed to Kauai.
love the way they are lying the same way...
Our first adventure was to make paper boats and
float them down the little river behind our house.
The first few days were pretty rainy and this was our
first trip with a baby. Cambria didn't slow us down
too much but I am not as able to jut pick up and head out
with the big kids.
We were all pretty into the boat making and sailing.
This was one of those funny Tia moments. Recalling how she
didn't rock Andrew in his baby years because she came into
his life when he was 4 and feeling she missed out...had to
rock my husband right there in the condo.
A "make it work" moment...not always easy and not
the most comfortable bath, but we made it work!
Our seating arrangement for most of the trip was Tia in
the back with our two...she was a good sport between
these two kiddos with lots of driving!
Trail closed + 2 month old baby = no problem
Here we are Napili Coast hike
It was funny from the guys on the trail I received high fives and
"way to go!"....from the women, "Be careful."
We made it to our summit.
It is fun adventuring with these two!
I love going for it---
Cambria in a cave...
This was the spot Bethany Hamilton got bitten by a shark,
the movie Soul Surfer tells the tale.
Pool time! Happy Pool Time!
Wearing that hat Dev used to wear.
Time for a little homeschool Math.
Love that man
I was struck by Kauai's beauty...as the oldest Hawaiian island,
I would say it is the most beautiful having had the longest time
to form and grow.
There were a couple of times, I had
trouble consoling Cambria,...not sure what was going
on. Of course, it was a bit stressful.
Life with infants is never predictable.
Sweet memories from the trip...hearing Tia lay next to Dev at
bedtime telling her stories of her life, Tia playing in the pool with
our kiddos, going on a great exploring run with Tia, seeing Tia and Dale
adventure with us as we pushed limits and not always knowing what was
around the next corner...but discovering it together.
He called himself "the wood fairy".
Being silly coming home late after playing...Bobo asleep from
the days adventures. A few more days to go.....
