We ended up having very little free time, but we did try to use the time we had. We had one very full day seeing friends, it was so good to be with our Maui ohana (family)! We had dinner with auntie Catherine and uncle Lance, time with Papa and Kimmy, and some good time with mama's! Thank you friends and family!!
Familiar Honokowai park
Good opportunity for Deveraux to catch up with friends.
Everyday we were treated to yummy food provided on set. The RV in the background is where the changing and hair and makeup happened (one of Deveraux's favorite parts)
Free time playing with papa at the Ritz!
Anderson was so good "on set". He just went with the flow, followed sister to the shoot, loved being in the RV, played, and napped. I was really proud of him.
I was thankful that we were able to be on the beach a lot because that is where many of the photo shoots took place. This was the first time we were on Maui as tourists, it was kind of wild.
Papa came and hung out with us on set
Ahhh back in Maui!
It was fun to see all the different props and sets they came up with, it is an interesting process and fun to watch.
Familiar...lots of bottles and snacks. Every morning we would get out gear together. We never really knew how long each day they would want us, every day ended up full!
So good to see friends!
Deveraux loved the makeup! Everyone was so kind to Deveraux and enjoyed her!
It was wild to see little Deveraux surrounded by 10 adults all focused on getting the right shot.
Deveraux's new friend, Jen, who was there as the "wrangler to make the kids laugh, feel comfortable, and have fun!
Our last evening, it as fun to see Deveraux looking beautiful, having fun, working hard, and in the middle of something special. It was a really hard week being on my own and the weight of responsibility. There were several mishaps and the days were very long. But, it was a good experience and I was told repeatedly how much they enjoyed Deveraux, how hard she worked and they were just amazed, and that she was the girl for this catalog. I was really proud of Deveraux!
