Yeah! We get to clean a messy room! And we got to go through all of Deveraux's clothes and organize!!
These pants were 2T (so for a 2 year old) Deveraux loved them and wore them out (holes to prove it). We just put them in the "save to make a quilt" pile....
When asked why she had pen dots on her face, she said they were freckles, of course!
Our Boy! Who enjoys dressing up.....Deveraux of course had to encourage it by giving him my shoes and jewelry...
They love to dance, we listen to our VBS music a lot. I love that they love music! This was Bobo's dancing skirt for a few days! I say Freedom of Expression!
We received a sweet package of goodies from my friend sweet Marci who came to visit with her two kiddos, Mateo and Lucia. Deveraux made a bracelet from the gift package for Bobo and make him a card to go with it. We have many moments in the day that unkind words and actions are exchanged. But we have a lot of love as well and there is nothing like seeing love exchanged between our two!
I promised Deveraux we would go shopping for summer sandals, to celebrate the beginning of this season. So out we went to "Payloss" as she calls it, I love that name.
She found some great ones! Next we headed to Target for new nail polish!
Deveraux took my camera and took a couple of her own pics of her feet...he he...she even got the back.
New surf booties! Now their feet will be warm in the cold ocean. Now Bobo is "pining" for gloves!
Vacation Bible School practice for Monterey Calvary Church. I am in chargee of leading the worship for VBS, as well as helping to lead the large group sessions. We have had several meetings and practices as we are gearing up for the end of June. I still have a lot to learn from my script! On this evening, I was "directing" the skits and I "roped" Andrew into being in one of the skits, so both our kids were there. They ended up being in the skits as we needed more actors. It was fun to see them all up on the stage. Deveraux stayed with me until the end of our rehearsal. She was so excited for her role and just wanted to keep talking about it. It was fun to see her excitement as well as her patient watchful eye as we practiced our parts. It reminded me of growing up in the theatre and just watching and taking it all in and then having my own moments on the stage. It was good.
Hopefully lots of ocean days ahead!
