We decided to head to Lake Tahoe when we found out Andrew had Saturday off, which meant we had two family days. We arrived about midnight, so it was only once I woke up that I realized how beautiful our surroundings. I was so reminded of Colorado and it made my heart glad. I love exploring a new area. I had a great morning run, found out a marathon was happening and was the first to cross the finish line after only 2 miles (now that is the way to do it). I passed another runner who gave me a high five, I was on vacation, beautiful surroundings, runners high! I felt so happy!

We rented a kayak to explore the lake for a bit.... |

"Full Throttle"...perfect name |
|
I told Deveraux we should just run into the cold lake, just go for it and not stop. She did it! |
|
Bobo did not! |
It was actually refreshingly cool!

It was a day to not know the time, leave the phone in the room, play, be together...I loved it! It felt so good to just be in the day. To leave behind all the ways we get caught in our everyday to day. |
We loved these big pine cones and laughed when they stuck to Dev's clothes. They will become part of my Christmas decorations this year, they were huge and beautiful and a great souvenir!

Inspiration Point |

There is a stone building on this island that was a tea house where the woman who owned this land would bring guests to in the summer, lovely! Her house was to the left on land. |
|
We had hoped to ride the tram in this little town ("home of the 1969 Olympics) but they had closed for the fall, reminded me of a Colorado ski town. |

FALL! |
