So Bobo chose an adventure week instead of a kid birthday party,
to celebrate turning 5!
So we were ready for a camping trip, but our plans needed to change.
but Drew had a surprise for us. I was thinking it was some
Maui adventure that we were going on.
So we had different envelopes for bobo to open,
letting him know he was on a rescue mission.
We headed into the airport, Andrew said we had a package
to pick up. I wasn't sure what Drew was up to....but
before we headed into the airport, Dev quickly hid
a fire suit by a tree so Bobo could complete his mission.
Well.....me and the kiddos were just waiting while Andrew said he
had to check on something...before I knew it, we had the Langford
family (all the way from Monterey), running towards us!
I could not believe it, for a few minutes I just had my head in my hands.
This was very reminiscent of my surprise party last year when I
saw Ben came running towards me out of the gate at our dear friends,
Young and Eugene's house! Here he was again!
I think Bobo was a bit confused that we had picked up his
rescue crew all the way from CA, I think we all were!
We needed a quick stop at Costco for some "walkies!"
"Let the good times roll in the van!"
So the Langford's are the type of family who are willing to hop off
the plane and head around the North side of the island and explore!
This is looking down on Kahakuloa Village.
Our lovely friends, Joy and Ben.
Ever on call....Bobo
Hey Emeline...Dev's buddy!
And there is Elijah....Bobo's buddy!
Danger?
To the Olivine Pools....
A rescue? Yes, someone has a foot trapped and Brother Rescue is
on the job with his buddy, Elijah.
Way to go Brother Rescue!
And last find was a rope for future rescues!
Next morning, we woke up, and they Langford's were still here!
It is wild not knowing guests are coming and so not preparing
for arrival. But in a good way, you are off the hook.
But I had just cleaned that week, I just happened to buy
more guest pillows the day they arrived, we had finally
vacuumed our car that week, and we bought gluten free cereal
that day!!! God was preparing me for them!
The boys are in the kitchen whippin up some pancakes!
Two tables out for the crew!
To keep our rescue theme going, Andrew
wrote a note that all rescuers need to practice
surfing...so we headed to the beach.
We hit the shores of Ka'anapali Beach,
basically Andrew's "front yard" of his work.
art time for Ben and mom...
We went out to dinner that night, played in the
grass, and swam at the Ritz!
Wow! Two days in and we are going for it!
Yup! Bobo's back flip into the pool. After this shot,
we said, notmore back flips for now!
