Getting Out

One day we headed to Ka'anapali to meet up with the Bantos family.

Dev and her girls.
I love this ornament that they picked out for me for
Christmas.  I realized, I am a teacher and I got
a teacher ornament!
The kids wanted to do a "tree drop", like the
ball drop on New Year's Eve.
This is our version.

Someone got my camera, have to include it as it
represents our life.
He loves to light things.  We let them
light the advent candles this year and now
he believes he is now a professional.
New Year's Eve sparklers.
There is a new path now that we are back on
Maui that the kids enjoy going on in Lahaina.

First tooth (besides an extraction).
Now Bobo said he did not believe in the
tooth fairy.  I told him, she will not come and
leave him anything if he does not believe.
Well, he left his tooth and "believed" long
enough to collect the cash.

He said his scrape looked like the Hawaiian Islands.

Many kiteboaders this day, pic taken off our Lanai.
One day at the beach park, a man was cutting down
the coconuts, Bobo took a drink.
With the Bantos family at the beach one day, Matias and Bobo went
ahead.  They had discovered a turtle.

Bobo said to me, "Turtles cause a lot of attention."

This day I realized I just have to keep engaging with Maui,
It is so easy for me to be homesick and complain about
Maui.  But I have to remember the sea never leaves you
empty and being outside, I discover how creative,
surprising, and life giving creation truly is!

We tried to build a little sand wall around the turtle.
Then we came home to a great bath.  We all feel better when
we embark outdoors and it propels us into other things that
feel good and engaging.
