What we've been up to....

Different snapshots....

Playing the "guitar"

Bobo asked me who we were singing to, I said..."Are we at church?"
He said no, "Jesus"

A walk with friends to the farmers market...

Bobo told me today that he wanted to marry Deveraux

We finally checked out the Monterey's farmers market.  It is every Tuesday and they close several streets.  We had a fun time.  I thought these pictures were so funny of Deveraux exploring a parrot...

"Where did you get me from?"  Bobo wanted to know
"my tummy"
"why"
"Because God decided he wanted us to have you."

Bobo was sad because he wanted to be with us at Deveraux's first birthday.

So I read about this idea on a blog...butcher block meals.  It is a great and easy way to eat.  Just veggies, a protein, maybe some bread item, and cheese.

There is a child in the house....
I gave them bath crayons....and I came in and saw this on the wall....
We are surrounded....by laundry!!!

Bobo said this was a fire concert

Bobo has started saying, "write it on the list."  If he wants to go somewhere or remember something, it's, "write it on the list!"  I wonder if that has anything to do with all my lists.....

Kissing good-bye for the day...He talks about wanting sister to stay home sometimes from school...

Bobo learned to write his numbers.  Lately, Bobo has also enjoyed making up words.

Friends that were in town.  They were one of his first couples in his sales career, fun that they are still in touch!

Deveraux learned how to make sushi rolls from our friend Young.
Dada and Deveraux had much fun playing a dodge ball sort of game.  Our kids love the gym!

Love his sleeping poses.  He loves to be close!

Bobo gave a flower and said, "for my princess..."  Then another day I went to get him from his car seat, he saw me and said, "You look fantastic."

Deveraux and I were about to read, "Clifford's Valentine".  She said it was scary.  "Scary", I asked.  "She said, "Not scary, but intense."  (he he)

Fall House

I loved getting ready for fall by decorating our home.  I love the smell of pumpkin and the colors of fall.  It was fun to prepare have those who come to our home be invited into fall!  It is a treat to be in a location that has the feel of fall!  Although, not many leafs change, the cooler days are fun.

A verse, Col. 2: 7, that grabbed me during our Beth Moore study, I pictured the metaphor of a tree and that as we walk, we become rooted, then built in Him, then established, and the result...Overflowing Gratitude.

A hot air balloon we picked up on our trip to Natches.  They have a balloon weekend.  We saw many around town and loved them!

Blessed Indeed

River School Farmers Market and Pumpkins

We headed after school on a Friday to River School's Farmers Market.
There are sheep that pasture in a meadow right next to the school, Bobo likes the sheep!

Very picturesque...a wood burning pizza oven and sheet grazing...
Yummy Apple pizza!

Treasures...a new plant, potatoes from their garden, and lots of fun used books!
Deveraux was given an assignment to pick a literary figure from a book she enjoys and paint a pumpkin that character.  She choose Biscuit (the dog)!

Each student was up in front and explained their story with a flip chart.  Deveraux's teacher was funny as she made little side comments pretending the pumpkins were talking.
Deveraux's class with their pumpkins!
