Thanksgiving Feast...at River School

A fun last day for Deveraux at school.  They went around to different stations in their classroom for arts and crafts, cooking, and learning.
They sang wonderful songs!
And we all shared in a feast!
And I wasn't late!!  Last year, the nightmare was being late and missing the Thanksgiving program for Kindergarten!  Not this time, front row seat!  And now we get to take her with us and enjoy our time with Gigi for the extended weekend!!  We also had Deveraux's conference this week.  Her teacher, counselor and Drew and I talked about continuing ways to allow Deveraux to feel comfortable at school and she now has the important job of attendance monitor.  Her teacher said she sees Deveraux as confident and having friends and that she is doing really well in school and reading very well.  We were proud of our girl!

Gigi descends on "Carmel" Rock

So glad Gigi decided to come spend the week with us.  She has had many Thanksgiving celebrations with us and we are so grateful!  We initiated her right away by spending time at the crowded Ikea store close to San Fran to pick up some things for Dev's b-day...welcome Gigi!!
I love that mom still has the silly bug in her...I think Deveraux got it as well!
Mom and I spent her first morning together at the Wild Plum for breakfast and then on to the aquarium,
First time touching a Sea Star...mom was amazed by the aquarium and said she had never seen such underwater beauty....
A wonderful first two days!!

days in November....

Fall at Earthbound Farm

A highlight for Bobo last fall was the "corn maizey" as he called it, so we had to get in a trip to see it again.

Met up with friends

This was Bobo's "face mask" that he came up with for his fire fighting work.

Cleaning out Dev's closet one day and she decided to take a rest...
Theatre classes were fun this fall....a couple blocks from our house surrounded by trees...

For a few dress up sessions, Bobo wanted to use my underwear as his neck piece.  I had to step in to take it off only when going in public.

Sweet friends Joy and Sally
Theatre Showcase, an evening to reveal all that was learned!

A new friend, Belinda.  We met her family through a couple at church who wanted us to meet to befriend them as they have recently come from China.  A very sweet family.
We all went to the Pacific Grove Museum, and saw many animals...taxidermy animals, the kids loved it!
The kids both love stuffed seals, and hey, this one was real once!  Deveraux talks about wanting to live on a farm one day and they love the idea of animal rescue.
Bobo used my hairspray one night and said he wanted to look like a mama...yikes, I wonder if my hair looks like that (he he)
This is Riley.  Our next door neighbor, who we have the pleasure to occasionally walk.  He is very fun!
Our first Christmas event of the season, tree lighting at Del Monte.  Deveraux wanted a picture with Santa but not alone, and bobo would not have any part of it.
Many good November days.....
