On saying good-bye..for now

I love that we had days like these for a bit, for my kids to be
sharing the same space with the two who brought me into the world.

Sunset Ka'anapali

Bobo's curriculum for Kindergarten involved
getting a caterpillar habitat and watching them
cocoon and then once butterfly's, releasing them.

We choose to take them to the garden on the Ritz property,
a beautiful spot for our new friends.

We were able to get two batched of caterpillars to
watch grow.  On this homeschool day, we read
some caterpillar/butterfly books and the kiddos
were given butterfly cookies (perfect)!

Our second release was off our lanai, not a garden.
but we did not want out newest friends to die because
we could not make it to the garden.

Mom loved going to Teddy's Bigger Burgers, they play her kind
of music..old rock and roll.
It's almost time to say good-bye to Gigi.  I am so glad we have
had another season together in Maui.
His pick out of the toy bin at the dentist.

So we got stuck in the bathroom outside the dentist office.  We found out later
they had been having trouble with the door.   I felt moments of panic
but that little guy with his new disguise totally helped while we waited
for help!

They sent Gigi off in style...a spa nail treatment and sweet Gigi
let them!  We will miss you mom, but we know you will be back!

Bobo is 6

Bobo is 6!
He received a rainbow for his birthday!

Generously, Kimberly hung out with Dev, so we could have
a time alone with Bobo...very fun!

Gifts from Gigi...gloves and a bike mask!
Pool time at the Ritz!

Yes, we wholeheartedly claim you!

We watched Bobo's video of pictures of his
beginning days!
(This was in the wrong place....Drew making fondant for
his party)).

Days after Easter

Me and my main man!

Bobo is picking out his first ukulele.
First lesson, Bobo is so attentive during his lessons.
A little impromptu "jam session."

Happy boy...we are excited for what is ahead.
Bobo has been wanting to learn for awhile.
We had a great date night at a yummy quiet Mexican restaurant.
We had the best seats!

Drew said this was one of his highlights of the
past several months.

I thought this was funny...it was hanging in the bathroom of
the restaurant.
Learning about thumb wars...
Leonardo DaVinci art project...taking apart a video tape.

A lot of tape in those things....
I love these moments..it is the "hings we hand down..."
A day at the beach on the other side.
Registering for baby!  I really get to do this again!?!
Beginning work on the playhouse....
Who is this guy?
Dev put together our dinner...she loves the presentation, I love
that she made dinner and had a vision.

Here she goes again....
We had more butterflies to release...
