This was a timely visit from Gigi, as all her visits seem to be. My mom always steps in and does whatever is needed, keeps up on the kitchen for me, and most important plays with Deveraux and Anderson. How she plays is she doesn't do anything else, she engages, is patient, and loves them!
Hula Pie at Dukes! Deveraux and mom are pals!
We love our Gigi
Plumeria's...one of our favorite Maui flowers. We were waiting to go in to eat at the Gazebo with mom, a great breakfast spot where we dine on white chocolate macadamian nut pancakes! Yummy!
Gigi comes to Maui every year, she has said it is the place she rests. We hit the usual spots, like the Kapalua Coastal walk and of course we also did a lot of packing! Mom kept us going and by the time she left, we were at about box #40 or so....mom also was there through all the ups and downs of moving through this process of leaving.

Napili Bay
Headed to town for dinner to one of our favorites...Outback
Went to watch the hula show at the shops at Ka'anapali
Pirate ship at the Westin, our friend invited us to come swim
Our second annual painting class for the moms group that Gigi teaches when she comes!
Oh bobo, we just had to put his hair up for fun! (sorry)
Of course before we packed, we had to do a painting project with Gigi. Last summer, we painted a lot of furniture, wanted to get one more in!
We went to a last hula show of the holau Deveraux was a part of. Auntie Noe, one of Deveraux's teachers dedicated a dance to us and then we took a picture with their family. Hula was such a wonderful experience, we will miss them!
Deveraux loves to paint with Gigi. We got rained out of Napili Bay after sunset, we were running for cover, I ran back to mom after I dropped some things off, she could barely see and was carrying her own load. When I said her name, she said through the wind and rain, "Oh, there you are." We laughed about this and it became our joke of the visit.
We ate every dinner meal while Gigi was with us outside, most of them on our lanai. One of the most important things during such a moving time as this was having the "normal" of a meal. Having Gigi with us meant we shared a meal every night together!
We love you and thank you mom for all your provided for each one of us!!
