Uncle Gaines

We all went to visit my great uncle at his new nursing home. We are glad he is taken care of and we are also sad that he had to leave his home with my great aunt. It was wonderful to see him and bring Christmas cheer to the residents. My uncle flew in WWII and this was his hat.

A picture of the plane he flew.

Andrew was so funny, he just scoped up Bobo and walked around the lunchroom, "Perry Cuomo" style and sung to the residents. My dad slowly sunk down in his chair out of embarrassment but later said, he loved that Drew did that.

Uncle Gaines sang Jingle Bells with us...he remembered it and then requested that we sing it again

We all had such a great time, it truly is "better to give than to receive"....

A great memory...Everyone joined in and I think we all just felt so good. We were singing down the hallways, "Joy to the World" and we felt that JOY!
