Easter morning
The devotional book she had been wanting to go with her Bible.
I think in this picture they were noticing the butterfly's
all over the ceiling.
They were so excited with the little treats they received!
His first "suit coat."
A find memory growing up was our Aunt Dot
buying us a new Easter dress. I have continued the
tradition for my two.....It was such a treat, I will
never forget a white matching top and skirt I wore
one year.
Sunday School class
We will miss you Mr. Jonathan....He is headed to Pakistan for
his transalation work in the military. We were so blessed by his presence
and allowing Bobo to feel so comfortable in his first class away
from me. Jonathan took this work with 3 year olds very seriously and
desired they knew the love of Jesus.
Bobo still has a hard time being left with new people.
We will hope he will bond with his new teacher.
We led worship for both services. It was really good.
I felt the celebration and that we were having a party!
I still am waiting for a new guitar, but we sang a couple
of songs to a CD and the rest acappella It was good.
Deveraux was by my side for the morning.
A little snack before the big party!
Bobo just sat in the street at the end of our driveway watching these
two kids play volleyball. And we worked!
Taking a break in the set up process.
Four hours of picking up and prepping for our guests.
Cloth eggs we made for each family with a pocket holding a
Bible verse to read aloud before lunch.
I had a vision of color and a party atmosphere.
I really enjoy having people over and creating an
atmosphere, an experience. It feels like a gift I can give.
Yes, I can have a strong agenda, get stressed about the
execution, be consumed with the plan.
But there is much good as well!
My friend Young, brought more banners and pom poms
over, knowing the vision I had....so kind!
Talking with my mom one day, I realized how we often
had people in our home growing up, I wondered if
that has influenced me as well.
Goodness we are so blessed with abundance during this season!
Bonny and Cora
Before the egg hunt....
Sweet Emeline
There she goes!
Blessed Indeed!
Tim, Sally, Jack, and Nora
Deveraux's friend from school, Gabrielle, and her family
Belinda
Ben wrestling with Bobo
A really cool moment....McKenna talking in Chinese
with our friend from China, Theodore . Young talking
in Korean with McKenna's husband who has been studying
Korean! I love fellowship and bringing people together!!
Friends stayed until evening...I love that time of a party when
the shoes come off and the seconds of food come out....
and everyone is just chilling!
Twenty-nine of us filled our home on Pine Ridge Way
in Carmel by the Sea.
We closed our evening with our Easter Garden and reflected
on the sweet fellowship we all felt. Many of us had never
met, but conversations flowed, hearts were blessed,
and unity was present in the body of Christ.
