This was her car seat when she was little...now
look at her!!! We are waiting while the boys
check out our camping spot. We were supposed to
be camping in a spot by the ocean on the beach but
they are closed on Thursday nights so we are trying
a new spot called Olowalu.
So I felt grumbly that we weren't staying at the spot I wanted
but my kiddos teach me flexibility by switching gears and
going forward with camping in this new spot and
having good attitudes.
Trying out the hammock.
This little gift from the sea is with us. Last time
we were camping Andrew and I talked about
if we should still pursue having a baby after
my miscarriage. I loved that Andrew said
nothing had changed for him and he was
willing to go forward and see what would happen.
I felt more fear than he did at that point.
And now here she is swinging in a hammock.
For one night we had a lot to carry and unload.
Home sweet home.
Bobo getting out on the water.
Our spot. Not many people but my nightfall it filled in and then
everyone cleared out again.
Our "kitchen"
Her favorite spot.
Sea monkey!
Yummy!
Here comes Bobo!
Dev found a C for Cambria.
SUNSET
SUNRISE
Cambria woke early thanks to roosters that thought
it was morning even thought the sun had not risen yet.
My night was not so fun. I had visions of taking Cambria to
the van and cruising home and climbing in my
wonderful bed. I looked at my clock hoping it was later
and couldn't believe it was before midnight and wondered
how I was going to get through the next hours. At some
point I fell into a deeper sleep. I do enjoy camping just
not the sleeping part.
We had a good walk and my little companion fell
asleep while we walked.
We came back and these three were still in dreamland.
Mornings at the campsite are good. I was just
really hoping for a hot cup of coffee.
Yes the five of us cozy in this tent!
Love that smile!
So everyone walked with mama to get coffee.
Leoda's House of Pies was across the street!
We stopped on the way.
I love when he carries her.
Only on an island do you need to watch for falling mangoes.
Love my crew!
A familiar view I want to remember!
The morning was early!
One more fire!
One last S'more!
Almost ready to pack up and head out.
I loved the last walk the kids took me on that
they had found earlier while exploring.
They love camping and we want to make
the commitment to go again soon.
I think they feel the freedom to explore,
be on their own, and that there is not
much of an agenda. I love that we are all
stuck together and we are just there to
enjoy us and nature! (Just hope for a better
sleep next time).
