Off we go. So we told Deveraux the morning we
were to leave CO that we were going to California
and then onto a cruise. But we didn't tell Bobo.
We got all the way to the rental for our car
to break the news that we were off on another
adventure before heading home. Well, the
surprise did not go so well. There were tears
and disappointment for him as he was excited to go home.
Let's just say it was one of those parenting moments
that we had not anticipated. But we all
hung in there, got some dinner, and recovered.
Silly but I loved this grocery store. It was beautiful.
Hard wood floors, nods to fall, and a reminder
of the fun of the mainland. We stocked up on
supplies for park fun the next day.
No bathtub.
We are at California Adventure Disneyland!
So we may have seen the play Frozen, twice.
It was really good!
Waiting for the big kids riding the big rides!
Not sure about this big mouse!
A little nap at Disney.
We love the Cars ride!
So my pick in-between our amusement park dates,
and I wanted more Fall. So I did a little research and we
ended up in apple picking country in CA.
So Apple pickin' we went! But the first stop not
too many apples and a bit crowded.
But someone liked the Carmel apples.
We really enjoyed the treats and so far no
apples were picked yet. It was a cool area but
pretty commercialized and many people.
I still wanted our apple picking experience and
so we headed to the next farm.
Yes, let's go to the next stop.
When you haven't see each other for a couple
years, one tends to be a bit on picture overload.
Plus you add apples, orchard, girls wearing red and its all over!
First apple!
Oh toddler arms and face and all the yumminess!
This is such a picture of Dale.
Wanting to hold our babies and not to ruffled
if they want mama.
The long drive home through LA traffic,
it was worth this shared memory!
