Devereaux's Point

Walking with Dada for his first surfing adventure since moving to California. He decided on Devereaux's (little different spelling) Point for the adventure. He heart is large for his daughter!

They are not far behind headed down a steep hill

Here we go, a little different with wet suit, gloves, and boots

They also had to get on their wet suits

Yeah Dada!

Devereaux's Point in the background. This was a "shout out" for Lance in Maui, Andrew's surfing buddy. It was great for Andrew to face that cold water and do something he just loves!

The light was beautiful. Headed home after a great trip! In the next posting I will start with the beginning of the trip, this was the end of our time.

Abiding

"The golden rule of your life and mine is the concentrated keeping of the life open towards God."

(Oswald Chambers)

It seems everything keeps pointing me to the importance of relationship with Jesus-not a cause-but a relationship. "Paul was devoted to a person, not a cause." (O. Chambers)

"Never be hurried out of the relationship of abiding in Him." (O.Chambers)

Freedom of Expression!

A fun Saturday early evening play time. We were all in the beauty shop. Anderson was excited to have his turn. For as long as he is unaware I will delight in his innocence and enjoyment in heels and beauty shop! There is great freedom our babes can teach us!

Sometimes beauty is painful!

But end in with good results!

Bobo let us know these were his fire boots (great imagination since they are pink heels)

We had a great walk together, I so enjoy his company. It has been such a pleasure to spend time with him while Deveraux is in school.

Another funny Bobo moment was when I asked him to come and help me, his response from the other room was, "I am not available." (we had to laugh)

Today we ran into Ross "really quick" to look for a basket. I call out for Bobo and hear him say, "in the purses." His wife will really appreciate all the female influence we have imparted to him. This is followed by Anderson now down the shoe aisle letting me know he likes trying on shoes.

Love it!

Happy Valentines Day 2012!

We enjoyed a month of treats, crafts, and mailbox surprises...

We love our heart plates, sometimes it's the little things isn't it....

Tea party...this is something of a tradition on Valentines Day and I believe it was one of Anderson's first ones....

We started off pretty good...

Tea edict when a little downhill

But Deveraux was there to "keep it alive!"

Taking treats to the neighbors, we made chocolate covered Oreos!

Heart shaped pasta for dinner!

Deveraux's first official school envelope with Valentine's from classmates! She had a good day!

Off course treat delivery also goes to the fire station with always hopes of seeing fire trucks and firemen...

Lastly, we headed to the bakery for treats

Okay so the night also included an "impromptu" painting of nails (polish was one of Deveraux's Valentines treats)

Not sure if he liked it...

Such a delight to the eyes that window was....even for a fireman

The fun filled day was ended by a gift from Papa D (Andrew's dad) surprising all of us with the gift of an Ipad for Deveraux. We still can't believe it! We will work to use it wisely and sparingly. We were blessed by his generosity, he loves Deveraux very much and thought she would be further helped in her educational journey! Thank you Papa D very much!!

A Blessed Valentines day for us!

San Jose weekend trip!

So Andrew suggested that we spend a few days in San Jose. He is able to receive great deals through the Hyatt. We stayed downtown and they have a great children's museum.

Picture of Bobo drawn by Deveraux (fruit loops in his ears provided much laughter over breakfast)

Could hardly get Bobo pulled away from the fire truck at the children's museum

Bobo keeps saying..."I'm going to be a fireman one day."

I love our dada..Anderson and I found them in the painting faces room...

Cool way to "paint". Put paint on paper, spin it, and get cool art!

A great museum visit!

While baby slept, Deveraux and I headed to a great European bakery...yummy!

It's so fun having my girl!

Two words...Jungle Fun!

We all had to try the slide...

I had come around the corner and saw this big grin on Andrew's face. He was totally laughing at Anderson coming down this slide with total abandon. It was wonderful to see Andrew be so taken in enjoyment by watching him !

Okay so I did the climb in the tube that is connected to the ceiling. I was exhausted and I totally scrapped by elbows...not so fun but trying to create a fun family experience...(I can hear my sisters laughing...)

Could not have been better planned that our hotel looked out to diggers and excavators and a train...the T.V was not watched once by Bobo!

We love a dada who loves to travel, take adventures, and provide for his family. They know it, I know it!!
