Summer Yummy Sand Castles!

So I read about this great idea to make Rice Krispy sand castles and decorate...kinda like summer gingerbread houses.  We were excited!

Working with focus!

Just can"t help it!

Our summer sand castle works of art!
dada came home just in time to be the "impartial" judge and was given his judges costume....
So impartial....he choose sissy's and bobo's
Part of being is judge is you get to have "tasting rights!"
Yummy!
It was very fun!

Big Boy Bobo!

It is underwear time!
SO...diapers do not bug me, in fact, they are pretty convenient.  And I wasn't really looking towards potty training, we had periodically tried the potty but not with great consistency. .. but when asked about it, it made me think twice.  So we got the underwear (pantie's as Bobo was calling it, that is what you get when you have a big sister) and we have tried to be more about training.

He is the cutest ever in underwear!!!

dada's birthday...July 2nd

Happy Birthday to Andrew and our dada!  It was important to Andrew that we were home and not traveling, as we had talked about possibly visiting  Colorado.  I like that it was important to him that we were there.
We started with yummy Gallagher "hobo" breakfast (eggs, hash browns,  and cheese)
I love that we are still building for "babies"...we needed a new small stroller.  It was funny because Bobo of course choose the pink one as he likes anything in the pink/red family.  Andrew thought it was purple...so we went with it!
So glad his new shoes (for the marathon) came on his birthday!

dada loves green!
Sissy loves her dada!

They love their dada!
So Andrew asked for a massage for his birthday, so he had an hour and a half if bliss!  Then we had Chili's of course and his favorite desert of a grasshopper shake (mint chocolate chip ice cream and sprite).

As a family, we are so blessed by our dada!  He provides daily for us.  He is silly, engaged, present, involved, enjoys his children, pursues them, and loves them!!
Our sweet neighbor surprised us with a "Maui" balloon when we got home.
I love my man!  He is open, expressive, adventurous, loving, kind, patient, and I am so glad he arrived on my doorstep so many years ago and we have this lifetime together!
Thank you Jesus!

Bakery Weekend #3

Sweet Elena's Bakery
Sweet shop...but not high ratings.  They were open to order out only customers, so we sat outside on the bench.  The coffee received mixed reviews.  They overall did not seem in full swing, like they were open and closed at the same time...But I really thought the berry pastery we had was very good!  ANd it sure is fun trying!!

Very Yummy pastery

Gigi comes to Carmel and stays!

Never missing a beat...come on in and read to us!

So we has some excitement when Gigi came....I was making some banana bread and for now we are living without a microwave.  So I was melting my butter in the oven and to save time, just left the butter in it's paper.  As usual, when cooking, I usually have "many pots on the stove" and I try to multi task and I often don't get "into" the art of cooking and simply see it as a means to an end... to eat.  So the butter started to cook inside the oven and as a result much smoke.  So we were glad to have a firefighter on duty to come and check us out.  I was glad to have a mom on hand who didn't judge and just went alongside the adventure.  It was a little smoky and "chokey" but all ended well and we had some great banana bread!
A familiar stop at the outlets in Gilroy
So we thought we would spend a night in San Francisco and celebrate the 4th of July!  To the big city we go!
A stop at San Francisco's Modern Museum of Art...free day!

Cute Sissy got into listening to the audio.

There was an outer courtyard with some art sculpture...Bobo was a little restless after our drive and museums aren't a great place for little boys to run and touch!
Cool Gap billboard....made out of real T-shirts

So glad to have my mom!

We laughed at all we ordered...it was like Thanksgiving!  Of course all half off (employee discount)!
Fishermans Wharf
Crabs!

Cool to read about the chocolate making process and see the big tubs of chocolate!
I really wanted mom to experience room service as she had not had that pleasure.
So thankful for our employee perks of our hotel rates, it really is a gift!
So our time was up and down, mom was not feeling good and that was a bummer, but we pressed on and good came!
