Gigi comes to Carmel and stays!

Never missing a beat...come on in and read to us!

So we has some excitement when Gigi came....I was making some banana bread and for now we are living without a microwave.  So I was melting my butter in the oven and to save time, just left the butter in it's paper.  As usual, when cooking, I usually have "many pots on the stove" and I try to multi task and I often don't get "into" the art of cooking and simply see it as a means to an end... to eat.  So the butter started to cook inside the oven and as a result much smoke.  So we were glad to have a firefighter on duty to come and check us out.  I was glad to have a mom on hand who didn't judge and just went alongside the adventure.  It was a little smoky and "chokey" but all ended well and we had some great banana bread!
A familiar stop at the outlets in Gilroy
So we thought we would spend a night in San Francisco and celebrate the 4th of July!  To the big city we go!
A stop at San Francisco's Modern Museum of Art...free day!

Cute Sissy got into listening to the audio.

There was an outer courtyard with some art sculpture...Bobo was a little restless after our drive and museums aren't a great place for little boys to run and touch!
Cool Gap billboard....made out of real T-shirts

So glad to have my mom!

We laughed at all we ordered...it was like Thanksgiving!  Of course all half off (employee discount)!
Fishermans Wharf
Crabs!

Cool to read about the chocolate making process and see the big tubs of chocolate!
I really wanted mom to experience room service as she had not had that pleasure.
So thankful for our employee perks of our hotel rates, it really is a gift!
So our time was up and down, mom was not feeling good and that was a bummer, but we pressed on and good came!
