Hello April
Swinging with our friends!
Easter lives on through Bunnies, flowers, and those butterfly's I just have
not been able to take down yet....
We found great tide pools in Asilomar Beach.
Such cool sea life!
Out for an April date! It went way to fast, but good
to be together!
I had given Deveraux a time out for some sassiness. When I went in her room to talk, I asked what she had done while she was in her room....she told me she had read her devotional.
Great choice Dev!
| Lost another tooth! |
We found this piece of wood at the beach and Deveraux decided what we
should write on it: Life is good at this house with God.
Bobo's "B"
Dressed for their first big concert. We went to see Chris Tomlin
and Kari Jobe in San Jose. They were dressed for the night!
What a concert! How fun to jump up and down and praise God!
It was like a big party with our kids right there with us!
Deveraux and I had a impromptu night at Claires.
It was very fun to see her so excited about the items
she choose with her allowance. She was thrilled when
she found the 10 for $10.00 bin, she could hardly believe her good
fortune! She even bought me a ring! She put on the glasses she has been
wanting and her new hat and just exclaimed how different she looked.
We got home and of course she always will show her dada what we found.
Andrew tried on her glasses, her hat...and spoke in a really high voice.
Later, he saw this picture and hardly recognized himself. He thought he looked like
Steven Spielberg. He still laughs about it!
She really wanted fake glasses and wears them a lot.
She can't understand why anyone wouldn't "love"
to wear glasses.
All ready for me in the car. Not always the case,
a nice surprise.
Our sweet friend McKenna had her baby,
Susannah Rose.
Wonderful to meet this sweet new blessing!
A good April
I will soon tell about our trip to Northern CA and
Bobo's birthday, of course, highlights of this month!

Big Sur International Race day....21 miles for our runner!
Big Sur run day, April 28th
Races are great fun to watch and "get into" the spirit of witnessing
great effort and a common goal. Although the set up of this race was a
little bit difficult for the kids to see the runners and they were a bit restless
as we waited for dada.
I told the kids we should be seeing him soon based on his goal time (under 3 hours). And all of sudden, there he was! I was so excited and yelled and acted a bit crazy without much support from 1 and 2. I yelled out , "he did it." He had made his time (2:59).
He was a bit nervous and days leading up to the race, he was questioning his readiness. I felt he had worked hard (running hills in preparation for Hurricane Point, a 2 mile up hill) and was ready.
The race was tough!
This is right after, he almost started crying. We had a moment where time stopped and I felt he could have just crumbled in my arms as our kids looked on. Instead I fed him his snacks and we sat on the grass! He just gave it all. I told Deveraux everyone should feel and experience that at some point in their life, where you give it all, leave it all and have nothing left.
It was great to feel proud of my man!
Sustenance at Starbucks, I loved his name written on his hot cocoa!
A good morning to witness!

His Love
I realized during our Sunday School worship time a truth of God's love that just hit me.
That is what I love about God and His truth...it refreshes...enlightens...reminds us of who He is and it is personal. That is why when we experience God first hand in a relationship with Him, we receive something good and whole meant just for us.
Sometimes it feels like we are hearing something for the first time. This is what makes His truth so personal, for us.
Supernatural truth has a way of penetrating.....again and again
Just like God does not change. God's love cannot and does not grow or increase...this was my Ah ha!
In our world, "growing" in something good (like love) is so valued, sought after, a sign of health and wholeness. What I realized is that God's love cannot grow. What? His love does not change.
It cannot become less and it cannot become more. More is what we seek.
But His love cannot be more.
It is enough.
It does not need to grow.
It is already overflowing, it is enough.
Which is so amazing. If I could live in His enough love.
"Higher than the mountains that I face
Stronger than the power of the grave
Constant through the trial and the change
One thing remains
One thing remains
Your love never fails it never gives up it never runs out on me
On and one and on and on it goes
It overwhelms and satisfies my soul
And I never ever have to be afraid
One thing remains
In death and in life I'm confident and covered by the power of your great love
My debt is paid there's nothing that can separate my heart from your great love."
Your love never fails...on and on and on and on it goes.....!

A song (Jesus Culture) often sung by Bobo.......
