Looking at old jewelry box treasures...I used to love doing
this with my mom. I usually would walk away with a few
treasures. My two walked away with treasures and it brought
back memories of what I held in importance at one point.
(The nakedness had nothing to do with the jewelry hunt).
Oh Yeah. These two just showed up one
morning from the wild west. The outfit Dev
has on is one I treasured. I found in
scrapbooks a couple wish lists for birthdays
and Christmas....cowboy boots were mentioned a few times.
I was actually was looking for some in the last couple
of years while we lived on the mainland.
I guess some desires still wait to be fulfilled.
...Now if I could just find one of those black outfits
in my size....
An impromptu date with Papa. Breakfast at a favorite place,
Plantation House.
This was taken in the same spot right before we had a Bobo....
wow, I am a bit swollen.
We headed on to hit golf balls, a fun activity we have
not done for awhile...also in Kapalua, about 5 minutes from home.
Andrew was really into it!
I call this one three generations of golfers.
This was funny, Bobo lined up his final balls and just hit
them all in a row, he picked up his last one and just threw it!
The night of the opening ceremonies, Deveraux and
Bobo spent time working on their own events.
This picture does not do it justice. We came out
quickly in the rain and watched them slide down the
big hill on the skate board, they had worked really
hard on their events. We enjoyed watching the
Olympics. The favorite was ice skating and for
Bobo also the skiing. Bobo after reading about Gabby
Douglas, the Olympic gymnast said, "I think I am ready
to be in the Olympics."
First official day of work at the Marriott.
Not what we expected on this job journey,
but God answered prayer and we have a job!
Here we go!
