Our inside table was pulled outside for one really long table.
The guests have arrived!
Andrew had only a full day and morning with our friends.
This was such difficult timing and so difficult for Andrew,
but he lived up that day and a half....
Hunter and Zach came with playful energy!
Next we hit the beach, Hunter had not been
in the water for a couple of years due to battling cancer.
This was on Hunter's wish list, to come to Maui.
Scott and Robin first came before children to
renew their vows. The next visit they had two small
boys...now the boys are taller than us. We were so glad
this wish came true for their family.
Scott and Robin are so loving with Hunter.
Aloha Neeley's!
This was the morning Andrew had to leave for his training trip to
Florida. That dog in the picture will come in the next blog.
What a morning is all I can say!
I asked Hunter what he wanted to be when he grew up....
he said a chef and an artist.
So we had him paint with Gigi.....
.....and make sushi with Kimmy (one of his favorite foods).
Bobo also made his first sushi.
Hunter's sushi bar was a hit!
All the top critics said so!
Hats off to the chef's!
The night before the Neeley's took off for
Kaui, we raced to the hill where Scott
had "re-proposed" to Robin so many years
ago, to share with their boys and capture on film.
Bobo raced with us!
Scott and Bobo racing the sun.
My sun!
Hunter told me he just hopes he can make
it to 9th grade...to experience High School.
Then we went exploring in the tide pools.
A treasured time. Scott and Robin were so generous.
They were so appreciative and it was wonderful to see
them, as before, embrace Maui.
The boys were both engaging and enjoyable. Zach was so good
about looking after and having fun with Deveraux and Bobo. Hunter
was so kind. He was so open about his battle with cancer, He showed us his million
meds he has to take, he would weigh in and then they celebrated when
he had not lost more weight. I can't imagine living in the reality that
the Neeley's have had to breathe for years. And yet, their faith in Jesus
remains. Hunter said due to the fact that cancer leaves ones life so unpredictable,
he has learned he trusts even more in God.
We are so grateful for this time.
And we pray for peace over this family.
