There has been a lack of listening in my life.
The listening margin is small. When Tara, Drew's mom
left after visiting with us she said, "Shannon, you think and move...
think and move."
These words hit me, if you are just thinking
and moving, then you aren't listening. I need to listen.
How do I know the Father's heart and move in meaningful ways?
I do often look at life like tasks needing to be completed.
Some of the tasks I love, and some simply necessary.
But listening. Pausing. I need to make room to listen,
not always easy in this season, but necessary.
Two of the ingredients that mark fall...Football and A pumpkin patch,
Fall, always somewhat elusive on Maui. One has to drive
to see fall. Light your pumpkin muffins and maybe turn on your
air conditioning.
Love seeing Drew's heart in coaching Bobo!
On this day after the game, we headed upcountry.
Trying to get that pumpkin pose...without much success.
Pumpkins are not very soft.
Bobo was really hoping for a big pumpkin.
We decided to bless him this year and let him get
the big one! He was very excited. unfortunately,
in the Maui heat it did not make it to Halloween.
We may have palms swaying at the ocean, but
our pumpkins do not like the island life!
A good time had by all!
I think this was, "she's holding onto her
blanket" picture.
