Ukulele contest

Ukulele Contest.  A big day for us.

Bobo picked up the ukulele in the spring when he started lessons.

He had expressed an interest so we signed him up and it was one

of the best things we could have done.  Bobo is a musician and

we have one great teacher. 

The contest has been held for several years at the Hula Grill.  Bobo

was a bit nervous but excited.  We weren't sure how he was going

to do, we had practiced a lot and now it was up to Bobo. 

They had a short ukulele workshop before the contest. 

So proud of our boy.  One of those moments, they are spreading

their wings a bit. 

He introduced each song, "Somewhere over the

Rainbow", "In the Jungle", and "Riptide."

He just did a small segment of each song. 

He had the crowd and did a little IZ interpretation

of "Somewhere Over the Rainbow." 

Someone slept for awhile.  We were pretty

much there all day! 

Our Bobo placed second in his group.
