Our girl is double digits!

Good Morning, November 27...10 years ago today, we met
Deveraux Grace face to face!

I love this series of pictures between Dev and Bobo.

He got her a necklace and she got so tickled, we don't really remember,
but it what something funny about a "buy one get one free"- the
pictures are just some of my favorites of Dev.

With us in on all the action.

We were busy setting the stage for the party.

We worked on a doll apron for each of Dev's guests.

"10"
Dev takes such an active role now in her party planning.
It is actually one of her favorite things to do.
We have started a little tradition of her and I setting
aside time to research and plan her party.
We both love it.
(some retro décor)

The theme this year was Dev's Joys.  We chose her
10 joys and incorporated them into the party.  The girls brought
their dolls as part of the party events-dolls one of her joys.

One of Dev's joys is crafting...so the girls made flower wreaths
for their hair which also included beauty-another joy.

We were going to book pinwheels for her joy of reading and we
were going to have a dance party for love of music...but we ran
out of time with all her loves (wink).

Another joy is photography-so we
had a little photo booth set up.

Baking-another joy.  They made chocolate covered
strawberries and decorated little cakes...oh and tarts!

Could not have done it without Kimberly and Andrew.
I was in way over my head!  We had a great plan and had
gotten all the right stuff...but I didn't start earlier enough and
didn't plan how long dinner prep would take--homemade
macaroni and cheese, garlic bread, and cesar salad.

We had a mini Top Chef and Catherine and Drew did their
best to be hard core judges giving critiques.

She picked all her layers!

A good time had by all!  I can't believe I did
not get a pic of her dad and her.  I got one with
her at the end of the night. That tells you how
much he was helping...in the kitchen for
most of the party.  I think she had a great time and
we had such fun planning!
This is our girl.
Fun, creative, talkative, relational, a joy to be around,
helpful, perceptive, sensitive, bright, intentional, loves
to celebrate and plan, loves Jesus, and we just
love her through and through!!
