Learning and growing

boo hoo, our baby is growing and my not as sentimental girl is
helping me clean out the baskets..this is sad.  Our first going
through the clothes.

Auntie Catherine comes on Wednesdays to bless us by
teaching Dev the guitar.  SO very thankful.

Love when papa reads

Many presentations that we give to papa and
dada..this one was on the rain forest.
Blowing into his "dart gun" as he is hunting
in the rainforest.
Climbing trees in the rainforest.

Frogs in the rainforest!

On two separate occasions, Andrew got to take our kiddos on a bike
ride down Haleaukala.
Dev took a sewing class and learned how to
make a sock stuffed animal, she made it for Cambria.

First pool swim!

We love our bed!

Out with the stroller, running for the first time with baby!

Loved these three aloha shirts downtown Lahaina...tourists!

From my journal...November 17
Each day I am ready to take it on...I am exhausted by afternoon.
One of the reasons I'm homeschooling is to enjoy my kids, and
I just feel impatient.  Want to get through their lessons.
Bobo said, "I don't like Spelling."  I want him to love learning.
People ask, Why do you homeschool?  I thinks sometimes there is
a different answer for that depending on the day.  Sometimes on a day
where I am weary, it is just about keeping them away from negative
influence.

On days of inspiration and we go off on a tangent
of learning, it is so they can explore and learn
about a topic without pre-determined parameters
Other days maybe its just about reading the Bible
in the morning.  Having moments with each other.
Teachable moments of what it means to love each other.
Often I feel like my moments, especially with Bobo
are continually keeping him "within" the lines.
I am sure he gets weary, as do I.
I get stressed and want to hit certain benchmarks and he probably
struggles in the academic arena more than any other.  I have a
pressure that drives me drive him.
What's working....three of my kiddos interacting,
us doing life together,

Having the time to work out our "stuff".
What kind of tone as I sit with my kids,
I want kindness, do I speak Kindness?
I want peace, do I speak Peace?

Standing!

Yummy.
