A familiar scene..meal times at Bergstrom's
A visit with Uncle Gaines, so glad he woke for our visit. He loved seeing
Bobo and Carter, he looked at them with bright kind delighted eyes.
Growing up, Uncle Gaines always was kind to us and always seemed glad to
see us. He is now at a veterans nursing home. Something struck me seeing all those men and women
now seemingly helpless and just sitting in their wheel chairs. They were once were on the front
lines as strong soldiers fighting for our freedom! A reminder to see past what we see on the
surface and know that one day we will all be in a similar position, we all grow old, but we were once young.
A good tradition, a brunch with old friends.
There was a house on a street named, Swadley, that all of these women (incld. me for a summer) lived in at different times. These women are kind and so generous with their spirits. I love hearing each year what has changed and what is on the horizon. I also look forward to such the warm welcome I receive each time.
dinner out with the whole clan!
mamas get to be silly too!
We headed to Barnes and Noble for all the kiddos to spend their gift cards from Papa and Kimmy for Christmas...big decisions and great fun!
We LOVE BOOKS! I love how excited everyone was and how they poured over their
books in the car on the way home!
Two tired out boys! Andrew had just gotten in that morning and had not stopped, he was
so tired coming in on not much sleep...yeahoo dada's here!
