Happy "day of Birth to you...."
Andrew celebrates his birthday on July 2nd, because he
never enjoyed celebrating on Jan. 2nd. That is one of
joys of being married to my husband, his unconventional ways!
We celebrated a little anyway....hard not to and we wanted to make
a treat, so it was a good reason!
silly but we threw away this old Victoria secret box that
held Andrew and my ornaments from the beginning..ahhh,
memories!
"Houston"....we have T.V.
Our first play date guest! A neighbor we got reconnected with,
Deveraux was excited!
We have begun serving breakfast after church and we all sit
together, a new tradition. Andrew always had a big Sunday
meal growing up with his grandma that he remembers fondly.
An activity that Bobo discovered...
riding his bike down our side hill.
Windy days bring kite boarders on the waters.
He is still always up to something....a creative adventurer, he is!
As well as his mama, we were painting a dresser that day...
our moving in also encompassed getting the space
ready not just unpacking but decorating and fixing
as well. This of course took us longer to settle in, but
the timing to do it felt right and I think I knew once
settled, it might be harder to do the projects.
A surf break. We met a dear friend, Jackie, and her two
boys at the beach for some catch up time.
Back to Napili Beach, where there is a sandy
bottom and good kid waves for boogie boards.
We met with some other friends this day, my dear friend, Yita
and her four children. Her son and Dev used to play a lot together.
This is a picture while driving, but the sky was so beautiful over
the Maui mountains.
We took a night to head into Lahaina for Friday night
art night and dinner at a favorite restaurant.
The babies are looking grown-up!
I found the drift wood tree I have spotted
before and wanted to duplicate...thus, I have
the driftwood pieces waiting in a bag.
We met an artist who showed us his art. Waves that he
"carves" onto metal. He told us his amazing story about
waves impacting his life 3 years ago and he started
doing art and now is showing in a gallery. It was a good
meeting, a God designed one!
A blurry front street.
We had a fun night, looking at art and eating shave ice!
The honor of being a home owner...you get to
cut your own grass!
Starting the project of painting Dev's room.
When we lived here before, Deveraux lived
with a princess border she never embraced.
So Deveraux has been planning her room design
for many months and it was time to dive in!
We are going to paint the walls white, and on two
of the walls, they will be green stripes.
Like father, like son
Andrew was so good at hanging all of our wall stuff!!
Homeschooling with M & M's...yummy!
It is about time to say good-bye to our
lovely tree...we have gone way past the
New Year this year.
Bobo's room has come together!
Gigi was working on some art, so Bobo went and got
his painting set to join in.
Andrew taping off the walls so we can paint stripes!
Impromptu tea party
our lovely chandelier...
Deveraux has the vision and we are here to carry it out!
Yeahoo it is finished and Deveraux had such a vision,
it looks really good! We stayed up until midnight
hanging all the wall décor and pictures so she would
have a surprise in the morning!
Up to something....
I tried cross fit with Kimmy and was sore for about a week,
trying to prove I was in shape...ugh! It was a fun experience!
This is the backyard to our church, there is a lot
of freedom after church for Bobo to run around.
Mom looking at the Bible studies offered at church with
Catherine....we are going to get her involved.
Hanging out with Gigi one day while Andrew and I
worked on trying to get the garage in order.
Still settling in.....
