A fresh pallet. I was almost bummed when all the furniture came
as I was enjoying clean empty space...hard to figure me out
sometimes! But of course now I am glad to have our things.
It just took a lot of work to get it in shape and it felt
breathable again!
Mom cleaning out all the grime from the sliding doors
and Deveraux taking in a book!
Mom is saying, how many more of these?
I was in the last room finishing the last blinds when
our 40 foot truck appeared with all our belongings!
Cutting the cord that showed our things were secure.
My new table that just made it in, almost landed on
top of us when we opened the doors. Thankfully the
driver helped carry it to the side.
So now we have to unpack this thing!! We decided to have them drop
it off and have it at our house for 24 hours. Andrew looked on
Craig's list and we found someone to help us move.
Just taking in the view!
So our helper arrived an then it started to rain. We couldn't
believe it! It was hard enough rain that we stopped, but only for
a little bit. I mostly stayed inside the truck and scooted
Andrew and Adam (our new Craig's list friend) all the boxes and
furniture, trying to direct as best I could which room
everything belonged in. It was really hard. There were
moments I just longed to see the back of the truck.
I asked Andrew if it always felt this hard. I pack and I
unpack but I am usually not as involved in the unloading as
much as I was....I was tired!
This is what Bobo did the whole time...play with all the things
we were bringing out of the truck. He was very happy to see
his bike!
This is Adam...he made our moving experience more enjoyable.
He told stories, made the kiddos laugh, and was strong!
Kimmy is right behind him, she came when we needed the
extra umph!
We started about 1:00 and finished about 5:30
This little flower cart was Devearux's invention, in the midst
of the moving. I love how kids can be in a completely different zone.
The lack of pictures on this day is an indication of how long
I was inside that truck. We did try taking inside truck
pictures, but they did come out. We were so glad to be
finished and see that back of the truck! Now we just had
to unpack....
