Georgetown Here we come...day 5

We went to Georgetown for two main reasons:
1) I love it and have such great memories of time
spent there when my sister and husband lived there
and brought home their first born, Benton.
2) To see and taste Georgetown cupcakes, a bakery
and the place a reality show is filmed that Deveraux
enjoys watching.
Both reason did not disappoint!
First we had to pack up and move hotels.  We could not book
all our days at the same Marriott.  But the next Marriott was
great, closer to shopping and restaurants and the Metro.

Georgetown Cupcakes.

Oh Yes!

Sweet memories getting coffee here when my
sister lived here.
Oh I see my gray hairs...the weight I need to lose.
But I post this picture because my kiddos see
me everyday so no need to hide from them at
this point.  And this is the reality of me at
the point and I am loved by the people
who matter.  And I can color my hair and lose
those extra pounds once I commit!

The girls!

While our photo shoot is going on, this boy
is reaching new heights.  Its fun having a
boy and a girl.

I am so glad I was able to spend a good amount
of time here with the Bergstroms when they lived here about
15 years ago.  This was there place, such a great location.

Dev took all of these of Cambria, I loved them!

One can tell how inspired Dev and I were by
the amount of pictures we took!

Next we found ourselves at Baked and Wired...
we heard they had really good cupcakes and the
six we had a few hours earlier were just
not enough!

The cupcakes were all creatively named.
You do bake Dev and everyone is happy!

Hi to Papa D who went to Georgetown University.

Cool shape of a building.
old and new

We did a great walk from Georgetown to the White
House all on the same street....loved it!  I had
remembered we did this with Stef and Roy.
Now here I am with 3 kiddos later!

We were able to get a closer view of the White House,
but the president of Singapore as there and everyone
had to clear the area.  We definitely had a taste that not
only are we in a place of history from the past, but
history is being made in the present.

Then we headed to the White House Store and picked
out a family ornament after we voted.
We tried to get a hug from Cambria for the
President Obama doll.

And then our eyes spotted Panera!
And squeals were let out...truly!
We had a great dinner and Cambria hung
out in the window.

And they gave us free cookies...as if
it could have gotten better!

There are those shoes!

It is rare, in fact, I don't know if these three have taken
a bath together.  But on this night there were many giggles!

There may have been a jumping party
after bath.

Dev and I then headed out for a little mama/Dev
date that she was hoping for.  We just ran to T.J. Maxx
for about 30 minutes and then Cambria was "calling"
for me.  She said that was one of her highlights.
I realize again, It takes so little.
Then cozies and a few more sillies with dada.
It was a great day!
