We pick up where we left off...
Gold Coast. This is where Australians
holiday. It was funny because I kept
wondering where all the people from the
United States were...I had to remind myself
this is like us vacationing in the U.S.
Hey Sweets!
So our hotel was backed by these waterways
lined with homes. Beautiful homes whose
streets were water.
Andrew surprised us by renting a boat through
the waterways for 2 hours.
It ended up being one of the highlights for
Dev and Bobo for the trip because they got
to drive the boat!
She did not love the life jacket.
The next day we hit Sea World Australia.
We found a jet ski ride we all loved,
a fast roller coaster, we went several times!
Me and this cutie pie waited while the others
climbed a really cool structure.
Back to the grocery store.
So very tired!
Pool time! My buddy and I had a day together
as the rest of the family went to the water park.
After nap, we hit the streets to walk around. I was
hoping a cute coffee shop I had seen while running
was still open and we could have lunch.
We hung out beside the water for a bit.
She is a climber!
The coffee shop I was looking for was closed,
so we settled for Starbucks.
It is good for us to have one on one time.
I enjoy being with her!
Next day, Warner Brothers
I got to see Marilyn Monroe! I couldn't
not think about my sisters...we grew up
watching a few of her movies.
She is keeping her eyes on the big guy in tights!
The lone ranger.
She became an attraction.
We found a fun area!
Hold on Bobo!
That is her, "I don't know" pose or in response to
the question, "Where is it?'
And then we found the carousal. She loved it!
We went around and around....
Around and around...
She had such a stoic face for loving it so much!
Bobo wanted to ride this and I had to laugh at
his, this is not a crazy ride, face as he rode
with all the littles.
Riding with sissy!
Probably my favorite park was being some of the
last people there and dancing to "All that Jazz"
down the middle of the street.
Dada rode the coaster behind us.
I always want to remember their heights, this time.
A little pool time.
Waiting for the bus. We rode to a mall.
We were so excited because we heard there was
a Target. It ended up being a very different Target
than what we are used to. But we loved the food court
and felt like we could finally eat with choices and
reasonable prices. Bobo claims the smoothie was
the best he has had.
Hold on in the bus!
new shirt!
Australian money. We had a hard time getting the hang of the coins.
We had to try one of the well known deserts, a Lamington.
It was really good. And of course coffee. I made it a mission
to try as many different coffee establishments.
We ended up getting super silly. Meanwhile dada was grocery shopping.
She loves to ride the escalator!
catching our ride...
Groceries
Next morning, school.
