Hitting the road...Byron Bay

View from the hotel in the Gold Coast.
Morning run.
Waiting for our rental car.

A girl who is rarely in shoes.  We love our new shoes!

Do we trust our dada to drive on the opposite side
of the street and the opposite side of the car than
what we are used to?!?

Our reader loved this book on our road trip.
One of the definitions of a road trip is snacks.
She go the whole bag!

We got a yummy chocolate, coconut smoothie bowl.

Cape Byron

Even on trips, we have hard moments.
But we always recover and come back!
Waiting while dada rents a board for Bobo to try out Byron Bay waves.

We found a cool backdrop that a wedding
party was using, we stepped in for a minute.

So yummy!
Meanwhile Bobo and Drew were exploring
new waters.
He said it was COLD!  There was also
a super strong current.

We were having fun on the sand.  A big wave
came up and Dev saved the day by grabbing
the rental car keys!

He was cold and no towels.  So we were resourceful
with my nursing blanket.

A great way to end the day!

A dada t-shirt and mama shoes..when you get a little wet.
We did not plan on Byron Bay for the day but our car
GPS got us a little off track and we missed the surfing museum
we hoped to find.  But we had a good day in a sweet town.
