Gilroy Gardens

We headed to Gilroy Gardens, part of the season pass Andrew bought that includes Great America and a water park.  Here we come for fun!!

Love this captured moment....just inside the gate and the maps are studied...they are like their dada...
This is the famous Bobo skip, he was extra excited!

.....and they are off!  It was a beautiful park!

The fire truck ride was the first stop
I just never want to forget these little legs, the way they are shaped and the way they fit on his dada's lap, and those little shorts and shoes, oh I wish we could still time....

One of our waits for these little floating boats was in a line with trees overhead and soothing music playing, the best line ever!  Bobo was tired not having had a nap.

Cool cars...she looks natural behind the wheel....

Bobo captured this moment
Dev captured this one

Loved the beauty of this ride

Wanted to capture this size in time, sister pushing brother

Not a ride...(well I guess it was) we were on our way home, happy to get some dinner and the car started acting up...so we had to call a tow truck

We were in the town of Gilroy, so we had to hitch a ride on the tow truck.

Home at last...a good day but an unexpected ending.  I felt inconvenienced and frustrated that our evening plans didn't work out but I also realized how grateful I am that we have the means to call a tow truck.  For a few minutes after we realized our car was not going to drive, Andrew and I were just trying to problem solve, what do we do, we are far from home and we don't have many connections.  But we found a way and Andrew was great in working it all out.  What about those who are living paycheck to paycheck and get in a predicament, grateful we are!

Beach time

This says it all!

Super Saturday

We didn't really set out calling it Super Saturday, but it was a fun filled day!  We started with a bike ride in Pacific Grove.  This was Deveraux's first ride because we got her training wheels!  It was a beautiful day.  We also had packed Pops chips and a bottle of Italian soda...what could be better!  The only stressful element was there happened to be a bike race coming through, we had to keep reminding to stay on one side of the line, not always easy when you look over your shoulder while continuing to peddle.  We have many rides to look forward to!

Watching Seals

We were excited to see the Seal pups, something we were hoping for this Spring and just happened to see them on our bike riding day!

Next we headed to an Art Museum.  It was a family free day with art activities.  We ended up going to three different museums in the area trying to find it.  I was ready to give up, but Deveraux really wanted to find it.  We were rewarded with a beautiful garden and a lovely staff member greeted us warmly even though we were there 15 minutes before the event was to end.  It is so fun to find a new area.

They made jelly fish and then we saw a jelly fish exhibit.

We ended the day making shakers out of plastic Easter eggs and popcorn kernels for singing at church.  A good Saturday exploring, of sunshine, enjoying the beauty of flowers, and creating!
