Our boy is 3!

Our boy...Anderson (son of Andrew), Ellis (The Lord is my God), Kainalu (wave/ocean), Bobo (brother and beloved), Gallagher (ours)

Happy Birthday our sweet sweet boy!
Highlight...trip to the fire station
Family dinner....(I hung pictures of Bobo, mostly those taken at fire stations or in his fire suit in mobiles above our table)
Sweet Aunt Heather made this banner for us last year made out of Anderson's past clothes

An effort at trying to get his jeans on, had to take a pic before we turned them around!

He is such an expressive little boy. He is very aware and notices his surroundings and details. Just today on walk we haven't been to in awhile he noticed a lamppost outside had been painted.
Bobo will say to me, "did you know, your my friend mama." I love this boy!
I kissed him and he said, "Thank you". I asked him..."for what", he said, "for the kiss."
Bobo loves his dada! alot!

I did not recall those first days at the hospital on his birthday until later.

Anderson was born with labored breathing and had to have oxygen and after I had the initial time with him after he was born we did not see him until several difficult hours later. Over the next two days, I would walk down that long hallway to the nursery past all those mama's in their rooms holding their babies to find mine with oxygen and medical "stuff" attached to him. I knew my baby but I also felt I didn't because I couldn't just be with him in my own way, by myself. I was down in that nursery as much as I could, nursing him and watching all the new babies come in for their first baths. Some of the time was special, but mostly, I just wanted the assurance that he was okay and that would mean he would be with me. I remember one scare where they had lowered the oxygen they were giving to him, but realized he couldn't keep his own oxygen levels steady without help. It was such a scary helpless feeling watching them rush around trying to figure out what was wrong.

Then he was finally with me in our room but then I had to watch that stupid machine to make sure his oxygen levels did not dip, I was so anxious. Then the cloud lifted suddenly, he was okay and we were released the next morning as if all of that had never happened.

And since he has been wildly healthy, vibrant, and strong....thank you Jesus!

Sissy and Bobo

A trip to My Museum in Monterey in the morning, a favorite place!

Getting ready to deliver to the firehouse!

This is a picture of Bobo's toy fire truck he loves that he received from his cousin Carter for Christmas....

The pictures are of the back Carmel's firetruck and Bobo's play truck, he handed those out to the fire fighters before we left the station.

Getting ready to go, he wanted to wear his sisters black boots, he did end up wearing Deveraux's other boots, as she wanted her boots back.

We love our fire hats!!

Headed to the station in downtown Carmel....

So we arrive at the fire station and within 5 minutes, the firefighters received a call. The fire captain said, "you guys can just hang out here." So there we were the Gallagher's hanging out upstairs in the firefighters living quarters.

We watched from the window as they took off....

They returned back from a false alarm and our tour resumed. Anderson, the boy who loves fire trucks was asked if he wanted to ride in the passenger seat while they drove a few feet!!

Next it was spraying the hose. It was funny, Anderson accidentally sprayed the fire captain when the hose first went on.

He was a little apprehensive about trying on the mask, he thinks the masks are scary.

It was really cool how the fire fighters all hung around during the tour.

Anderson asked me one day, "do you think one day I could be a real fire guy?"

Yeah Firefighters!!!!

They said he had to give everyone a high five to all of them before he left.

He didn't really want to leave, ran back in to the station to check more stuff out.

He liked the area outside all set up for him for our family dinner.

Anderson loves pineapple and watermelon!

toss the fire hat in the ring!

Deveraux's card for her brother

He went straight for the lollypops! I think he got our sweet tooth!

Thank you Family for loving from afar and sending birthday love! The sadness of the day was not being able to surround Anderson with all of you loving on him!!!

Anderson, Bobo....you bring laughter, smiles, and melt our hearts! Wide-eyed, entergetic, curious little boy. You are sensitive, tender, cudly, joyful, good-spiritied, touch, playful, observant, you delight and speak to what you delight in with expression....as your dada said, we have so much to look forward to...we love bring with you and you are easy to love! We are so very glad you are a part of us!!
