"Grace makes a way"

Oh I will miss our trees!

In the middle of the night, Bobo sat up and said, "delish!"

favorite....Bobo engrossed in a book.  Yes, even when
it is a man taking down a lion.  Hey, it's in the Bible!
It's college football season!!!

View heading down the road to our street.

This beautiful patch of flowers on our walk.
Here we are looking under a fallen log to find bugs.  We learned
fallen logs are very important to the life of a forest.
"That's the bottom line.  You are not enough-for this
parenting gig, this marriage relationship, this
homeschooling year, this work project.
Write it on the wall, ink it on some skin, because
Christ wrote it with His blood.
Grace is the only thing that is ever enough.
Grace is the only thing that ever makes a way."
(Ann Voskamp)
"Life 101 is Parenting 101: You can't control
outcomes-you can only model how to become.
Because life isn't about controlling things-but
about letting God control you.  Parenting isn't as much about
raising kids-but about laying yourself right down.
You can only parent as well you know your Father.
You only live as well as Christ lives in you."
(Ann Voskamp)

Carmel blue

He learned how to whistle!

They loved their microphone....headbands, a straw and foil!

My helper at church, singing worship for Sunday School.

Andrew, graciously, drove me out to Paso Robles (2 hours away)
to buy a church pew I found on Craigs list.
As we drove up, Deveraux said, "From my perspective, this
church pew is going to be one of a kind."  And then she went
on to say, she didn't mean that in a good way.
It actually appeared to be a sad home situation, a reminder
of our blessings and that you just never know how other
people are living.

Headed home with our pew in the van!
A potty break on the side of the road for Bobo provided a pretty
view of CA....our kids were great...long trip with only a quick stop!
First dentist apt. for Bobo.  I wanted to get him in the chair
in an action shot...but I ended up having to hold him while
he laid his head in the dentist lap...it was pretty funny.
We had not been to the library in awhile....we got tons
of books, I just had to figure out how we were going to
carry them all!

Learning how to count money

We all have our tasks
Bobo's big task for the day,
he put all his fire truck puzzles together!!
A rose each of the kiddos received from one of
the homeless men we serve food to on Saturdays.

Our memory verse last week....Fruit of the Spirit!
Bobo loves standing in front of the fire place to recite
his verse!

We packed this shelf of breakables and it cleared
a space for Deveraux's homeschool materials, she
"moved" right in and had it organized and showcased!
A girl after my own heart!
One day Bobo just paraded back and forth and said,
"Then ten commandments, carrying two books,
with his undies on!
Homeschool curriculum arrived!
I was trying to capture the fog that sometimes
rolls in during the afternoons.  It reminds me of when
we first moved in and noticing this new phenomenon of fog as I was
in and out of the house busy painting preparing our home.

This is Ocean Street.
I love that on a clear day you can see straight down to the ocean.
In a few blocks you will see shops then at the end of the road is the ocean.
I snapped this quick right before I turned left
onto Forest, towards home.
