Our second night in Colorado we all hung out at the
Bergstrom's. Again, another "home" away from home.
The girls decided to make chocolate chip cookies for Deveraux's
family birthday party the next day. Missy, Dev's cousin has been
baking by herself in the last year, something now Deveraux wants to
partake in.
The girls then tried on my mom's "fancy" pajama's
she used to wear and one of my sisters old dresses,
they were awfully cute....until they had to decide who
was going to take which pajama's home.
Deveraux's invitations for her Betsy, Tacy. and Tib
birthday tea.
We had the celebration at my mom's house, a setting that
my sister's and niece could come into and enjoy the
celebration not being at their own homes.
Deveraux picked out some fun psalteries for her tea.
I selected pictures from each of Deveraux's past birthday's and
made a banner.
Reading a little Besty and Tacy before the party.
A moment I will remember was seeing Aunt Heather
walk up the steps into mom's place dressed in an old
dress from probably high school just to bless Deveraux.
Some quick mixing before the guests arrive.
Our guests...mom, Heather, Missy, and Stef.
Tea time!
Hi sweets!
We played some Besty, Tacy, and Tib trivia from the
book series. I found a great web site with different
ideas and activities.
Next was the party favor...we made mason jar snow globes!
The snow globes were taking us into the evening, they were a
bit more tedious than expected.
I had Drew and Bobo show up later just to be a part
and see the party.
We then read a script that was an exert from one of the books.
Some funny parts! I love Deveraux's laugh, she
can get so tickled. I love how my sisters love Dev.
Deveraux requested that I wear my mom's pajama's for the party.
I obliged, I had to and they were comfortable!
A "motley" crew we are!
Present time...Claire's gift card, money, a movie, and a rainbow magic
bracelet kit.
Our snow globes!
Cousin Cole
We headed back to the Glossinger's for brownie cake and the
movie, "We bought a zoo" that her aunt gave her for Christmas!
She looks a little afraid in the picture...we had a great party
and a good night.
Happy EIGHT sweet Deveraux!
Love abounds for you!!
SO glad your wish came true to be able to be with family on your birthday!
