Salt Lake City into New Mexico. Day 51

Bobo saw these temples and said, "Does a princess live here?"
We wanted to just see a bit of Temple Square in Salt Lake City.
The temple.  In the visitor center, there is an exact model
replica of the temple (pictured below).  You must be invited into the temple.

We just cannot accept that Joseph Smith was the first person
to receive the authority of God since Jesus...this visit
provoked some great questions from Deveraux and a good
conversation for us.
We toured both visitor centers.  There has been much time,
care, and money put into the Temple Square and deep
conviction with no inhibition of belief.  I talked to one
missionary young woman giving her 18 months of her
life to the Mormon Church.  Several of the missionaries
were assigned to the visitor center to give tours and
answer questions.

Leaving Salt Lake City and headed to Albuquerque, NM
Bobo wanted me to include this picture.
Ahhhh snow, glorious snow!

This is at one of our gas stops on the way to New Mexico, this is
where we were going to meet my sister and her family the following
day and then we would all head to El Paso, Texas.  Well we hit major snow!
It was really treacherous driving.  We canceled our Hotel
reservations in Albuquerque because we didn't think we would
make it.  We even followed a snow plow.  There were points
where Andrew could barely see on a two lane highway in the
middle of "no-where" Utah.  Well, the weather cleared as soon
as we hit Cortez, CO and we called and re-booked our Albuquerque
reservations and pulled in a bit weary but relieved at 2 am.
