We decided to venture out and check out the
Olympic Park down the road in Park City.
Grrrr bears!
This floor of the building is dedicated mostly to showcasing Utah's
great skiing and show the history of skiing. We also saw a display on the
women who will represent the US in 2014 in the first time ever event of
Women's ski jumping...all the women are from Utah.
My husband and daughter like to lovingly tease me that my
hair is now red...mmmmm
GO!
The kiddos tries out a virtual ski ride.
The next day when we left Park City, I told the kids that someday
they would try skiing...Bobo said, "At least we got to see pictures
of people skiing."
The upstairs was a museum dedicated to telling
the Olmpic story when it was held in Utah.
Shout out to Carter and Anders! (Our cousins who love hockey)
Medals!
Pretty cool that day we were able to see a Gold Cup Bob Sledding event.
They go sooooo fast! It was really fun to see an Olympic-type event in person.
The Olympic park is used for events, practice for
Olympians, education, and lessons.
When we were all back in the car, Bobo asked,
How did we all like that adventure?"
We liked it Bobo!
Then we had some dates...this time Dev and I and
Drew and Bobo. But once again, we met up in the same
spot for warm drinks! It was really snowing and providing
coziness and a good way to see our last day in Park City!
Deveraux and I had fun asking each other questions like,
"If you could open any business what would it be..." or
"Describe your perfect day" and "Name your favorite activities..."
We also celebrated Day 50 of our trip I asked our family what was
a favorite so far....Deveraux said, "feeding seals in Victoria, Canada."
Bobo said, "being on the road seeing things and the seals". And
Andrew said, "riding the sand dunes." I think of many mine would
be seeing Bobo dive in the pool and watching Deveraux's delight
when we had our time at the Empress for tea in Victoria.
Deveraux wearing my shoes out for the first time, of course
still big...but wearable.
Then I got to hit town a bit while Drew took the kids swimming, it
was wonderfully cold and beautiful walking the town.
We cooked dinner every night while in Park City, a nice
break from restaurants!
This is how we ended the night. Sometimes Bobo will need a nighttime
snack if he didn't eat enough earlier. Here is "taking care" of
two yogurts,,,one of his favorite foods!
Drew's Pajamas...
We had started the process of packing early in the night,
we still had some work to accomplish. We defiantly
spread out our week here!
Tomorrow Salt Lake City and then on to New Mexico and Mexico!
I think it will be fantastic. I have a bit of the butterfly's thinking
of seeing family and our mission trip, exciting stuff!!
In Philippians we read, "Life with Christ means
He provides encouragement, comfort, fellowship, tenderness,
and compassion so we can face what lies ahead."
Good promises that can actually be true!
