Our New Years Words

Andrew and I enjoy writing New Year Resolutions....sometimes we refer to them and sometimes we don't...but we like goals.  In the past we usually sit down sometime in the new year and I write out our resolutions.  This year, I read about having one word that you focus on for the year.  A word that represents those lists in your head that you want to be about and continue to refer back to.  We chose our words and it was kinda funny because they seem a little opposite.
Andrew's word is Finish.  My word is Dwell.
So how do finishing and dwell come together as we try to live our our "one fleshness?"  I don't know yet, but that is okay. :)  Andrew wants to finish well those things he feels need completion in his life.  I desire not to always be about productivity and "doing" especially when it comes to stopping and being a wife and mother and a child before God....I believe as I write they balance each other and both have a place.  And as Andrew and I have always navigated our "iron sharpens iron" marriage this fits.
So we will see how these words, Finish and Dwell play out in our lives and
in the lives of our children this year....
