Chatham, MS
The bigger kiddos went with Andrew and toured
a museum and took lots of pictures so I could see it too.
We loved the movie, "The Finest Hour" based
on a true story of an amazing coast guard rescue.
A bit rainy.
So we headed to Orleans, MA, so we could
see the real boat that was in the resuce.
I believe Bobo was wanting to get a bit involved
in the boat without stepping foot on it. Then
we see this older gentleman walking down the
walkway. He says, "What do you think?"
Of course, we told him it was amazing to see it.
He said, "You want to climb aboard?"
What?!?
He was the caretaker of the boat! And he just happened
to be there at the same time! Trip magic!
He let Bobo start the engine! It was just so cool!
A quick stop at a National Park to see a movie and
walk the gift shop.
We ran in the rain to find these sister lighthouses.
Then we drive through Provincetown. The Pilgrim
Monument was closed, this spot marks where the
pilgrims first landed. We talked about hoping the
fence, but w decided not worth the potential arrest.
Alright, New England you have been good to
us. We leave with pictures of beauty in our
minds and new memories for our hearts!
The sign says, New York!!! Here we come!
