Maine

Bangor, Maine.
A cool family run Transportation Museum

Penobscot Narrows Bridge and Observatory,
the tallest public bridge observatory in the world.
And it was closed for repairs with not definite time
of reopening.  In travel, decisions have to be made to
stick around and see how long or press forward
for more discoveries.  We decided to press forward.

And we found one of my favorite treasures on the trip,
"Treasures and Trash Barn"...what a find!

If I only had a bigger suitcase!
I have never seen so much cool stuff so tightly packed!

Next up!  When in Maine.....

(From Dev's travel jounral...)

Youngs Lobster Pound

In Maine we went to Youngs Lobster Pound. Walking through the front door with the sea air behind us than feeling the warmth from the boiling pots of water we truly felt we were in Maine! One wall was filled with buckets and buckets of water and red lobsters. The rubber band on their claws helped us feel safer as we peered in. Looking up at an old-fashioned letter board, I felt at home in that vintage sea house and lobster pound. This 4th generation family owned lobster pound has the homey and casual feel that everyone is sure to love. We chose the lobster size that suited us and cautiously picked up the clawed creatures around the middle. If you decide to have some of there delicious corn then the lobster and corn go into a macrame netted bag and they put the lobster into its own steamy pot and there you have a yummy treat… Fresh Lobster. Walking upstairs you find fishing supplies mixed with bright red picnic tables just ready to get dirty. Your number is called and you walk down stairs to get your food. Tearing apart the lobster you dip it in big bowls of fresh butter hot from the stove. I tasted fresh tender mild lobster my favorite from the claw. Funny though the corn was my favorite, looking out the window to Penobscot Bay on that stormy afternoon I felt like I got the true feeling of Maine’s authentic lobster pounds scattered along the coast.

Next up was this sweet little town, Camden, Maine.

A fun bookstore

Had a few moments to myself to slip out and
check out the town for a few minutes.

And then this happened...I received one on one
coaching with an IG pro on posing!

This one made the cut!

This one had a little fall and needed comforting.

We ended this Maine day on a windy
lighthouse point!

Permaquid Point Lighthouse

Another good day!  Let's go get warm!
