Bobo asked Jesus into his heart!
We had talked about it a few months prior but he was ready on July 17th.
(I later thought it was cool that it was the 17th as he was born on April 17th).
It was a night while reading stories.
We just started talking about Jesus.
Bobo was ready.
I had introduced the idea before, but on this night he seemed to understand
and have the desire to take the step to invite Jesus into his heart.
I called Andrew and Deveraux over from their story corner
and Andrew lead Bobo in a prayer.
Bobo said he asked because, "he wants Him to be in his heart."
We asked Deveraux about her relationship with Jesus on this night.
She said, "I am excited to go to heaven. It is like you have a friend and
you just write cards but you really want to meet her. I want to see what
He looks like, His mom and dad. She said when I was younger I thought it
was a dream, now I know it's real." She said. "my heart starts to beat
really really fast when he talks to me. I love the Bible, to read about
the people with God and their stories. It is nice to have a
relationship with God. I'm better at stuff when I know Jesus,
not better like "show off" better. I want to tell people about
Jesus and I'm not lost."
Of course it called for a celebration so a couple of nights
later we had cake! And we were wild with celebration!
I think the cake, the later hour, tired dada, and the fire all helped in the mania of celebration!
Yet, it felt good to mark.
For God has not given you, Anderson, a spirit of fear,
but of power, love, and a sound mind."
2 Timothy 1:7
(our verse for Bobo)
Bobo has a heart for worship, I am excited for the seed to grow!
He already sings with such passion!
The other day as we finished listening the song, "Amazing Grace"
in the car after we had pulled into the driveway, Bobo said,
'I feel better already."
He expressed what we were all feeling.
