I have seen such a growth in my two playmates!
I see Deveraux loving someone who will engage in play
with her, be willing to follow, and is now able to stay in
the imaginary play.
I see Bobo looking up to Deveraux for the next fun.
He says, "She is a good girl and plays with me everyday."
I really see them enjoying each others company and looking
for each other now, seeking each other out.
They like being together!
I also see fighting. Boy being too aggressive, girl running
off when she is upset or ignoring. Two who want the same thing.
I hear unkind words and harsh tones.
But mostly, I see good.
It fills the heart to see your two children playing together.
I am so glad they had this summer mostly without other
children around so to navigate their own relationship and grow close.
Deveraux wrote a list poem:
Why I like my playmate!
He plays with me energetically.
When we ride bikes, we go fast.
When we play he spends time with me
he lets me choose what we play.
He is excited when we play.
Freedom!
