Northern CA trip.....days 3 & 4

Ft. Bragg
California 1 much of the way....
It was cool to see this area as my dad had spent
some time here learning how to make a guitar.
Pt. Cabrillo Lighthouse

We were enjoying seeing different lighthouse's tour.

The keepers house

Oh thank you washing machine!

Mendocina
a stop for lunch

Glass Beach, in Ft. Bragg
I have never seen so much sea glass.

It was fun to collect.

Back on the road

On to Leggett, home of the drive through tree

And there is our van....driving through!

We drove through Avenue of the Giants,
redwood trees.
The only bummer is that it was getting dark,
but we found the biggest tree laying in its side!

Eureka, CA
It is so funny about this hotel because Deveraux really liked
our hotel room.  She was asleep when we arrived, but woke up
and said it felt kinda like a Hyatt.  She rated it above
the Super 8 in Ft. Bragg.  She liked that the bathroom
which was conveniently located right next to her bed.  Upon arrival,
Bobo, who was awake found an empty beer can under our bed,
which about sums up how I felt about the room.
But I am glad our children aren't so spoiled with
(employee rate) Hyatt's and that they were still okay with
a Travelodge.
In our 9 day trip, we loaded and unloaded 12 times
I think the claim to fame of this house was the
most photographed Victorian house,
(add one more pic).

Andrew and I went on a run together around
the town of Eureka.  I liked the main street.

We found Gallaghers Pub and had to take a photo op!

loved this statue....

We walked around the marina for a bit

Table Bluff Lighthouse

Onward to Trinidad
