Car show car

Checking it out....
Concours Week
"The Monterey Peninsula transforms into a car-lover's
paradise for a couple of weeks each August, when fans,
connoisseurs and collections from around the world
arrive at one of the most beautiful places on the planet
to admire, purchase, drive, covet, and compete in rare,
exquisite, and compelling automobiles."

"Admire"

Yeah mom, this is the one I want!
"Purchase"
"Drive"
"You can't touch anything Bobo"...and he didn't!
"Covet"
This was our third Concours.  It is a fun event to sneak
a peak at so many unique cars.  Our traffic on the roads
is crazy during the week which makes us all appreciate
our normal roads.

This was a car show in Carmel and this one won Best in Show.

In this next set of pictures, I wanted to capture a bit of
our downtown Carmel.

Ocean is our main street into downtown and heads
straight down to the ocean.

The other event we checked out is when all the cars
drive into Carmel from a driving tour all around our area.

This was a favorite of Dev's and mine...chocolate brown,
alligator leather seats, and a woman driver!

We appreciate the beauty even though we know virtually
nothing all cars....Deveraux had her Ipad camera out, taking in all the action!

Our downtown with throngs of people.  After the cars would park, the drivers would get out and the crowds would swarm around the cars checking them out.  Bobo was mostly interested in the policemen directing traffic and kept wanting to watch them.  So as we walked home, we were able to see a policemen in action.  We happened to witness a pedestrian who was arguing with the policeman wanting to cross and not wanting to wait on cars.  The policemen had to be firm.  Bobo defiantly took it all in.  I asked Bobo if he would like to direct traffic one day.  He said, "Yeah but I gotta learn to be mean."  So we had to have a little talk.  However, Deveraux reported that later in the day he was "mean" to her as they were playing traffic and I heard him in the street strongly directing traffic as he played.  He definitely has the hand moves down.
So we all took away a little something from Concours week.
