Friendship

A day with Joy and Sally = Wonderful

We went to Los Gatos

A little school time with Joy
Joy wanted to take Deveraux out on a date.
I met with friends today for a lovely day together.
God has granted me such a cup a cool water in friendship in CA.
I am so reminded of his faithfulness.

I can look ahead and see good.
I can't look at the goodbye and see good.

The equation does not add up...much like when I left home and continue to leave my family each time we say good-bye.
What we go to each time (living in separate places) does not validate the not being in each others day to day.
God has brought such goodness in friendship here.  It is like God surprises us and says, "See I am not done yet blessing you."  Yet, each time, we worry He won't do it again.  Because He is not predictable and life is not predictable. We just get to put our hearts out there and see what happens.
Fair time!

Joy was getting ready to toss her old glasses case
but she wanted to show me this sticker that I wrote my
name on at church the first time we met.

We learned a lot about the families that raise cows
for the state fair.  These animals are their pets and it
is a sad day when they sell the house and go home
without their pets.

This man was so kind as he let Emeline come on up
and try to hit a balloon.

Bobo and Deveraux picked the Ferris wheel as one
of their rides!  We had fun.

The big slide!

We couldn't believe it, we saw our homeless friend, Mark.
It was fun to hang with him for a bit and he watched
Deveraux ride the swings.
We had a special time with our Bible study women
at Highlands Inn (Andrew's work).  We were closing
out our summer session.

Park time with our friends,
Kailani, Bodhi, and Katie...
Our friends who moved from Maui.

I am so glad we had "another round" living near one
another, Katie is a good friend.

Labor Day at Carmel Beach with the Williams and Langfords.

To be loved is such a gift.

Young took these two out while I had a dentist appointment,
they had a fun date in Pebble Beach.

Young made our kids a wonderful board of treats!
There is a loss in good-bye and in change and you
can't make your friends unknown, once they are known.
And you wouldn't want to!
Our last time together.  What sweet conversation and
Godly friendship we have shared!
Oh Aniaha, we love you!
Thankful for these friends!

Bobo's first date (other than us) was with Young.

Deveraux enjoyed hanging out with her school friend, Mattie.
And her family will be the ones who move into our home.
Sweet friends Amy, Anya, and Johanna, great to hang out with!
Anya was another favorite school friend.

Another school friend, Riley and her sister Ava and their
mom Holly.  Holly was a sweet friend I enjoyed hanging out with.
Our friendship life felt so full with school, church, moms, Bible study, and neighbors.
