Northern Pennisula. Day 19

Olympic National Park Visitor Center
Andrew thought it would be a good idea to check out the visitor center
even though we wouldn't be heading into the park until Tuesday.
We wanted to do the park on the day we would be continuing on
around the Peninsula.  For today, it was just giving a taste of what
we would be seeing in the park.

They loved the Discovery Ranger Station, they both
played ranger.
Deveraux's created a totem pole.... we read that is how
Native Americans told their stories.

I like the idea of nature outlasting any toy...
Bear wrestling practice, in case we run into one.
It was wonderful that they had a whole room
dedicated to children in the visitors center.
Bobo did not want to leave.
Drove through Sequim

Shout out to sister Heather...Deveraux wanted this picture
for her aunt Lou lou.
Next stop....Port Townsend...we couldn't help but think
of dad during all these towns, especially this one.
which has the wooden boat

Yep, they make boats!  Cool wooden boats!

They were teaching a group of magnet students how to build
a boat.  This is where they spend a majority of their time,
teaching others.

We saw these oars and asked if we could purchase one,
they checked and we couldn't but then that just put
us on a quest to find one.  Bobo would like coast guard
décor in his bedroom.
Bobo's favorite room.

For our family, we could sign up and make this boat
in a week for $2,000.00.  Andrew and I thought it would
be a cool experience.
So since we couldn't  have an oar, Andrew thought it would
be really funny to act like he was stealing a piece of wood and
have Deveraux film it.  It may be one of those, "you had to
be there"...but it was funny.
Boat tools

We really liked this little town

A beautiful shop

Look what we found!!!  We separated and Bobo and
Andrew went to get coffee while Dev and I were in the
pretty shop.  We then went looking for an oar and they
were doing the same thing, they found one first!
Bobo loves his oar!!!

A drift wood shack

We stopped back in the shop where Bobo got his oar,
he loved this area with boat "stuff."

So we left Port Townsend and drove to the nearest Dairy Queen.
We wanted ice cream.  Bobo asked if we were celebrating
him.  I wondered why?  I think it was because of his oar.
So yes, Bobo, we are celebrating you!  Next we can
celebrate Deveraux!

We returned to our Days Inn that evening for the second night....
we came back to this note...ha ha!
We didn't take it too personal.
