The Ferry into Victoria. Day 11

Getting ready to check out and head on to Victoria....
Bobo was chilling in the big red chair across the lobby.
last Hyatt look in Vancouver

On to Victoria.....this is one of Dev's pictures, great job Dev!
Here we are at the Ferry dock
As Andrew and I passed this playground, I commented 19 years
ago we would have not noticed a playground, I had to go
and take a picture and then I had to let them play a bit
while we waited for the ferry to arrive.

Getting ready to drive in

The cool parents!
An arcade in the Ferry!
A shop in the Ferry!  I couldn't get over how big it was.
Here we go

I intentionally put on a skirt and boots...an outfit!
I wanted to try a little and not just go with jeans and a T-shirt, it was actually fun!
I could have sat here for hours, the hour and half that it
took went way too fast,  I am looking forward to the trip
back....
There were many students from Japan on the boat also
headed to Victoria. They loved getting their picture taken
with Americans.
 Dev's camera is looking good!

The San Juan Islands, really beautiful
Andrew and I rode this Ferry 19 years ago, I remember
sitting outside with him.
cute photo of our friends from Japan

One time down the slide before we have to head to our van.

This picture is for the Langford's, our sweet sweet friends
in Monterey!  We were trying to make it to Costco
in Langford before we headed to Victoria, we didn't make
it, but found a grocery store and bought out turkey for
out Thanksgiving celebration the next day.
So Andrew told the kids that we were driving to our
home in Victoria.  Andrew had rented out a flat for the week.
He wanted to pretend that we had bought this home when we
came 19 years ago on our honeymoon.  He thought it would help them embrace
being in Victoria and feel like it was their home.  They were so excited to be
in a little house.  They got the scooter out and started claiming the space.
Deveraux kept asking me, is this really your house?  I of course had to
"fess" up and tell her we were kidding....Bobo just embraced it and
didn't seem to care either way, just happy to be here.  I don't know if
that is a function of his age or personality,,,,probably a bit of both.
Home sweet home
We had just enough time to check out the ocean less
than a block from "our" flat before the sun set.

A funny Bobo comment was when we walked into out new
home for the week and Bobo saw one bed, he asked,
"Where is Deveraux going to sleep?"
