Next stop...Grants Pass, OR, Days 3 & 4

We decided to bring along the scooter on our trip and the
roller skates, it has been great fun for Dev and Bobo.
Getting comfy in the back seat.  Bobo at one point said,
"Where is the Lord going to sit, our car is so full."
We left Sacrament on Friday and headed the 5 and half hours
to Grants Pass, OR to see our friend Nikki!
We can't believe we saw Nikki less than a year ago.  It was fun
to be on her home turf again and she laid out the spread for us
when we arrived.  Nikki is so hospitable and we feel so
welcomed into her home.  We had a fun two days and.....
.....Nikki got a new kitty.
We were at the local farmers market and a sweet family
of 5 girls were giving away free kitties.  We stopped and
I was saying, "Oh Nikki...: and encouraging her and she really
took one!  She loves animals and Carmi (short for Carmel) is a good
addition to her furry friends.

Deveraux and Bobo were so excited about the kitty.

We then headed downtown for a chalk drawing contest.
It was cool to see so many artists beginning their creations.

Nikki made her mom's apple pie recipe for us.
It was yummy!  We ate on it the whole time we were
there and then she packed the leftovers for the road!

Nikki was taking care of her friends farm animals,
Our kids could not believe their good fortune
and Nikki just kept going up the popular ladder!
They were able to collect eggs from the hen house.

Next we were introduced to Harold the donkey, he was
so cute, he would just follow us around. You would look
down and their would be Harold beside you, very sweet.

The horse was a bit more nervous and would run away from us.

Bobo said, "I liked meeting Harold."

I was "gone over this barn" and had to walk out into the
field to take some shots....

A little photo shot of Carmi

Dev wanted to visit all the animals again.
Deveraux loved Harold.  She said, "it was very fun going to
the farm, feeding the chickens and the horse, it was a great
experience,  I also liked riding the bikes around, feeling that
freedom feel that I could go wherever I wanted to."
Another important reason for going to the farm
was cable TV for LSU game day for dada!

I loved this little potting shed,

ahhhh farm life
Deveraux loved being with the kitty, she has such a
love for animals.

she was cute
We had a good time with our sweet friend. A reminder
of God's good gifts and the sweetness of reconnecting with friends.
Nikki showed us such care from the smallest to the biggest!
We love that we continue to visit one another in our homes.
We look forward to seeing her in Maui!
We love you Nikki and I love that now our kiddos love Nikki also!
