School time...we call this book time because the whole day
is about learning....
They loved the workout area
Cake pops!
Bobo's first person drawing....this is dada
So this was going to be a downtown Vancouver day,
we were going to head out and explore.
Bobo and his love of clothes, had to try on the "army"
snowsuit that was a few sizes too small.
Deveraux getting some Claire's earrings so we can avoid
getting our earring back stuck in our skin.
It's the city! Deveraux asked for a camera for her
birthday and we agreed to get it a month early so she
could take her own pictures of our trip.
A man gave Bobo a coin so he could make a wish in the
fountain. the man said he had been making wishes for
a long time in the fountain and the wishes came true.
Gas town, a historic area in Vancouver
Bobo said his highlight was, "He got kjamies (pajama's) for my
souvenir. They fit me so well." He said when we got into
bed that night that, "his feet felt like they were still moving
like on a treadmill...." It was because we walked so much that day.
The next day....
So we were on the 29th floor, Drew took Dev and Bobo to
the hot tub. Their three heads are 29 floors down.
Out our window
Let us introduce you to Bobo's Man Bag.
Although, he now likes it to be called a bag.
We had many laughs about the man bag!
So we started off checking out some museum's, one was
closing soon and the other seemed not as engaging for the kids.
So we drove some neighborhoods. We had a very restless daughter
and then we couldn't turn left where we wanted and ended up having
to take the bridge to West Vancouver. So we made the best of it
and found a little town to eat some dinner and walk around until
the traffic loosened up on the bridge. Our plan was to head to the
Maritime museum that evening as it was open until 8:00 and
on a donation basis.
While we were in this town, we found out
Thanksgiving was on Monday...in three days!
It was the Canadian Thanksgiving!
We talked about how on a trip, one has to be
flexible. This is true in everyday life but even more so
when our schedule is more unpredictable.
We didn't exactly have a set plan for the hours that
day once our museum plan folded, but we moved
forward and we looked back on a good day.
Dinner at the grocery store deli
We then happened upon another park. The kids just come
alive and they are so happy running and playing.
Looking out to West Vancouver
Maritime museum
Pirate quarters
The captain is going under....
a highlight, sailing the seas
Captain, my captain!
Then we got silly dressing up...
we had the while place to ourselves!
Bobo's highlight- "I liked the captain ship, all the ships,
and the toys in the box, trying on the wet suit, it had an
air tank. Bobo the next day asked if we could go back so
he could put the air tank on.
The museum was a highlight that day!
Then dada said to Bobo, "If you go up to the people
in the front and tell them you are heading to the water,
I will buy you a white button up shirt (something Bobo
has been wanting). Andrew loves setting such a
scenario....but alas, Bobo wouldn't do it...I think he was
a bit confused if he then was going to have to really go into the water.
A good day!
